    Eden Hazard

And you've worked that out based on a total of 44 minutes played in two substitute appearances?

What's all this Kane Ballon d'Or business? Yes, he's a very good striker no doubt, but I don't see him streets ahead of Morata, Costa or even Lukaku. And then there's Aguero and so on. Couldn't possibly be yet more English hype from the English press could it?

He's nothing but a lifeless shell of the player he was, we should ship him off to china immediately. Bring back Traore.

    Willian

Personally i found Willian, since a start of season quite good, it has improved, more opportunity set up by him, but it's only the beginning. The competition will be very hard between him and Pedro, so far Pedro is in front because he score more than Willian, but if Willian begin to score, things will be different.

    Zappacosta

Agreed. Everyone on this forum keeps saying how good his crosses are and its perfect for Morata. I thought against Qarabag he miss-hit most of his balls into the box. One of his crosses ended up in the back of the net and the rest nearly went out for a throwing.

The Liverpool game in 82- I was in my last year at school, but courtesy of me older brother and his Austin Marina I'd just started getting used to getting driven up there, and parking somewhere round about the gasworks round Imperial Square, which beat the crap out of the rigors of public transport. Cut a long story, even though we left well early, we got nowhere near our usual berth- soon as we crossed Wandsworth Bridge it was a struggle to find anywhere- this was when you could park anywhere anywhere up to the KR.- Reckon we got in the Shed bout half one; bundles of school mates never made it in. Fast forward to when they won the double in 85- dippers galore on the Arab end of Edgware Road after the game, targeting Jewelry stores ( there's a shock) Our lot caught up with them, and a good time was had by all I'm led to believe

    Antonio Rudiger

I agree he looks pretty limited on the ball but against Leicester he made two vital headers in the first-half, strong, powerful, brave headers when Leicester could easily have scored. He's tall, he's athletic, he's strong and he's fast. How fast? Well have a look at this video, start it at 1min13secs. It's the moment before we scored when Leicester could have scored, but for a fine save by Tbo, from a Leicester breakaway. Unfortunately you don't see the beginning of the move in this video, but it started on the edge of their own area, from one of our corners, Slimani nicks the ball off Kante, gives the ball to Mahrez and then we're bang in trouble. Rudiger and Luiz start to sprint back, behind the play. They're level with each other when they start and Luiz is no slouch. Watch Rudiger sprint. He ends up miles ahead of Luiz and almost catches up with the play. Luiz in fact runs out of puff and slows down, whereas Rudiger runs back to protect our goal, taking up a great position, meaning if the ball had gone past Tbo, Rudiger may well have cleared it off the line. I was staggered by how fast he ran back, and by his determination to do so. Anyway have a watch .. Edit: If anyone can find a video which shows the move from the beginning please post it.

    Eden Hazard

I actually believe we are only truly starting to come out of the transition we fell into during Carlo's second season, and it would have been a truly painful one had it not been for this man, in my opinion. Apart from 15/16 he has carried the team above there actual level every single season he has been here. His first season he lifted a squad that was Europa level into the CL places. His second and third season's he lifted a top four challenging squad close to the title and to a title win respectively and last season we were probably the 4th best team on paper and won the league, yes Conte worked miracles but even he could have only done so much without Eden. Give him a blank cheque and im not even joking i would give him Neymar esque wages if that's what it will take.

    Antonio Rudiger

Yup, he runs the full length of the field and actually gets quicker as he goes along, leaving Luiz in his wake, who was the same distance behind the play as Rudiger when they started running. If I had been a drug official watching the game I know who I would have tested, put it that way.

Koeman could be the next manager out. He spent a lot of money this summer and so far they look absolutely horrendous.

Wenger thought the match would be postponed due to trouble and crowd disturbances and infiltration. Authorities apparently knew 20,000 would be coming though only about 3,000 had tickets. Interesting, I know little about Cologne though read they were getting over 40,000 when in the second tier of German football. Game kicked off at 9.10pm and Arsenal won 3-1, bet it was a cracking atmosphere by the end!

    Eden Hazard

I read on Twitter he's likely to sign a new contract in the next couple of weeks. it could be p1sh but hope it's the real deal, tying him down to another 5 or 6 year deal should be our no.1 priority. Then getting Tibo to do the same!

He was a bit shy when he first joined us, now in his fifth season here, the legends have gone, Costa gone, Jose gone. Now is his time.

    Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea

Clearly a raw product not helped by section of fans in the crowd getting on his back for every mistake..what is that going to do for his confidence? I think he is the kind of goalscorer who can be crap for 89 minutes but the ball will break to him once and he'll score, just like at West Brom...his all round play needs work, but this guy has a knack of scoring goals...some patience required me thinks...after all, how many games has he started for us? How many minutes?

    Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea

I agree, he wasn't great but he wasn't sh*t at all. I agree he looks like he belongs in a 2 rather than up front on his own as he doesn't really know how to move defenders around, get behind them etc. But it was a match thread so unfortunately there's loads of utter bollocks spouted in them.

    Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea

I don't think he was as terrible as some were making out. It wasn't a great performance from him, i agree with that, but it wasn't all bad. His link up play with Willian was very good at times i thought. Some of the comments coming from people saying he is sh*t is just over the top. Playing as a lone striker combined with our style of football obviously isn't his main strengths, but that doesn't mean he is sh*t though. His one touch football is actually pretty good and i think he would work great with someone playing just behind him.

    Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea

He had one chance and he scored. He's not the type of player that is going to create loads of chances for himself, but he's a great finisher. If the service is there he'll find the back of the net. Playing as a lone forward doesn't suit him and he has to work on that, but he gets way too much stick on here. We've only played 5 games this season. He has started 2 games and scored 1.

I think it's because Dave provides a mean cross when he's free. If Dave was running the wings, he'd be pressed by the oppo LB/winger or he'll be stretching the field so less time on the ball. But having Gary at the right would be a good option as well in certain games or if Zapp or Moses can't play for some reason.

Very impressed on Saturday. Communication in particular. He wasn't shy of letting people know where they should be. Love that in a centre back. Looks a very solid buy.

My Mrs cost us promotion in 79/80. We'd started going out in February and I took her to two games that season, Fulham and QPR at home, both 0-2 defeats, and we missed out on goal difference after Westham hoisted the white flag at Roker Park. Still, she's a dyed in the wool Blue now, not a bad old girl.
