  1. I think injuries have become an issue for us this season as opposed to last when we were incredibly lucky in that respect. You could say it's a manager's job to deal with such things and rotate players, etc. but this requires serious squad depth and Conte's not the reason we don't have that at the moment. So the board will have to either lower their expectations when they don't give the manager what he wants or back him financially all the way and then demand top results/performances.

Apparently lost the ball every four minutes while he was on the pitch. I'm sick of seeing him play at the moment. Needs to not even make the bench. Pedro starting, Musonda on the bench. Not sure why it has taken this long for Conte to realise it. He seems to wait until things start to go tits up before making bold moves and he needs to realise it won't always result in 13 game win streaks and a title.

  4. Really surprised to see so many people criticising Conte. He sees the players all week in training and starts people on merit. There's no way he'd play someone on reputation - he's made that pretty clear. Secondly, it's not like he has many options. We have a few injuries, plus players suffering dips in form, so choices are going to be limited. Thirdly, the champions league is in the back of his mind. It's his first outing with Chelsea in the competition, and he'll be desperate to make a good impression, despite the lack of resources. I hate to continue banging the 'squad depth

  5. I have defended him on here, but there was no doubt that he was really poor yesterday, like most of the team. I don't agree with people saying he is a sh*t player, i just don't think he suits our style of football and formation. This is why you sign the players the manager needs for his system rather than going out and signing a player just because they scored goals somewhere else. You can be a regular 20 goals a season striker, but that means nothing if you join a team that doesn't suit your game. We are a team that needs that imposing player up top, the type of striker that can hold on

  6. You can add Bakayoko to that list. But when fans like myself complain in real time as the summer passes by, we get called spoilt, plastic, whingey, negative, etc. Any sort of name you can think of. The entire summer it was "It's only June", "It's only July", "There's still 4 weeks left in the window", "A lot of deals get done on deadline day", "We have the best executives in football", "You know nothing about what goes on behind closed doors". We end up with average RWBs and no proper first choice LWB - in fact only one LWB period - and the narrative flipped to "well we had a

  7. With all these Lego stadiums around now, this was a spectacular sight especially next to the open terraces. I said on here once before, night games when you walked into the forecourt and the flood lights were on and this beast was towering above gave me goose bumps.I haven't sat up there for years, usually east lower and now Matthew Harding lower, I might do a cup game up there remenic a bit.

And back then people thought Kakuta was the next big thing. I don't see this quality in Charly everyone else seems to, he has talent but his productivity ratio is really low whenever i watch him and that includes Forest.

  9. The pundits were saying he also does not run into space to give the attacking midfielders options (Wright and Lineker) so for me he needs to go, loan or sell. One move I saw in pre-season was with Chalobah, Bakayoko and Bats and it looked superb as they all moved together yet he needs to adjust to the team he plays for.

  10. Regarding the 85/86 picture. If the club hadn’t played two home games during a bad winter ( who remembers clearing the pitch and terraces for Leicester and Oxford!) especially without Dixon injured and speedo suspended. I think we could of one the league that year. But with Ian McNeil going and Hollins bringing in Ernie Walley, it was the beginning of the end for this great squad.

  13. I have defended Michy a lot on here, but I must admit that single performance does make me wonder if he has a future here under Conte. Not because of his ability, I actually think he's a very good talent, but he's so bad at holding the ball up. I thought it's an area he could possibly improve on but I'm not sure, I know it's only one game but he looks very far behind in that department, really struggled.

    Tammy Abraham

It was no surprise on MOTD after watching the abject performance of Batshuayi and then seeing Tammy score 2 for Swansea that Lineker & Wright would comment. Have to agree with them. As much as I had real hopes for Bats, have to say he is really disappointing and right now would take Tammy all day long whilst Morata is missing.

    Cesc Fabregas

Cesc is an extremely talented footballer. His long career has clearly taken it's toll on his pace because at Arsenal he was reasonably quick (see goal vs Spurs) However, we can no longer play him in a midfield two. It quite simply, doesn't work. Games this season with him in a midfield two (PL): Burnley (H) 3-2 Loss Arsenal (H) 0-0 Draw Palace (A) 2-1 Loss That is evidence enough that he simply isn't cut out for the physical presence of the Premier League. He should be in a midfield 3 or on the bench and this is coming from someone who is a massive fan of Ces

    Willian

Just looks very low on confidence. It wasn't his fault we lost today, far too many poor performances, but he really needs to sit a few games out. I'm actually very surprised conte started him ahead of pedro considering how much more he has travelled in the break.

  21. Poor selection from Conte today. With no Kante, we needed some pace in that defence and I honestly think Christensen and Rudiger would have negated the threat Zaha and Townsend caused us. That's where we lost it today. Gutted.

  22. Christensen should never have been left out today. We needed to bounce back after the defeat to City and we needed our most inform players on the field. After Luiz's stupid red card against Arsenal, he had only himself to blame for missing out on football, he shouldn't have come straight back into the team like that, and he was awful today too. The way he played today was quite possibly his worst performance since we bought him back, but he's looked like putting in those performances a few times this season. He's not got his head on the game this season, you can see it in the way he plays. He'
