  1. 15 Million? Much better than spending 30 odd on Dzeko.

  2. If this is £15 million then I’m definitely hoping this happens. That would be a steal. Also for those saying we aren’t we going for Aubeymang but buying Arsenal’a backup striker. Remember we don’t need a first teamer we’re after someone who can be a backup and a starter when necessary.

  4. This is all just smoke and mirrors while we go after our number one target ... Demba Ba!

  5. That sound much better. The numbers didn't add up, not with us refusing to pay for Dzeko.

  6. I assume Giroud is available for the CL campaign, since Arsenal isn't in it this season.

  7. Abraham is nowhere near ready to play for Chelsea on a regular basis.

  8. Would rather ampadu play.

  9. Extremely underrated player IMO. I’d take him, I think he’s undervalued by Arsenal and the fans. He wouldn’t be an automatic starter but he’d be a really high quality back up.

  10. I say keep Michy and watch Arsenal fans explode for not landing PEA. f**k em blood.

  11. Hudson-odoi, sterling, musonda and ampadu are all good enough to have played more this season imo.

  12. I can't get excited about this oldish show pony, our club are showing a distinct lack of ambition, surely this amount of money on a 32 yr old smacks of desperation , and a very short term fix, but for what, we have morata for the Target man role, get someone good play off him..

  13. I think he's a decent back up and stop gap signing. Its too plug a hole and keep Conte happy. If the club are looking for bargains these days and are relectuant to spend big then we must show more confidence in youth. Taking a chance on some of these kids who have won things at youth level and they could save us millions. It also ties in with trusting a manager long term, Conte knows his job his on the line and he will always go with experience. I look at Musonda and the Celtic move today. Its baffling, give him more opportunties like he had against Brighton. He only needed a couple of minutes to shine and he did. Then we send him out on loan!

  14. If we send Bats out before securing a replacement we are a joke. I'd rather we had Morata / Bats AND whoever comes in (if anyone). Silly season vol II right now.

  15. It will be sickening if we loan Bats to Dortmund so Arsenal can sign Aubeymang, and offload their reserve striker to us. We’d look like complete mugs, what has happened to us? We seem to be the best run club in the world one minute, then the worst run club the next.

    Danny Drinkwater

His first few games were very good, now he's been pretty average. I never watched him much at Leicester but I wouldn't be surprised if he was just in a purple patch. Like I always hope Bakayoko will be able to replicate his Man Utd game consistently in the future, I hope Danny will replicate his best form too.

  18. Desist forthwith with your berkish behaviour! You don't have a season ticket, and, if you did, you would NOT "hand it back". @Beerqueen Is that better?

  19. Has arrived in Glasgow this morning, 18 month loan deal set to go ahead. Bizarre move... Even if he pisses over everyone week in, week out... So what? Should have gone to a Championship side over a move to Celtic. Rodgers has a bad track record with Chelsea loanees too. McEachran and Moses moves were built upon empty promises. Don't understand this one at all.

  20. Arsenal want 35mill for Giroud.....What! sorry but that sort of cash can be used to buy a decent and younger striker in the summer. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5323029/Arsenal-close-signing-Pierre-Emerick-Aubameyang.html

    Eden Hazard

So even though you are a Chelsea fan, you would still move to Real Madrid ? I don't know how any fan of a club could say something like that. If i was a Chelsea footballer, i would never leave. If i moved to any other club it would feel like a step down. There is no way i could get as emotionally involved playing for another club if i just left the club i have supported since i was a kid.

  22. Why are people sh*tting on pre-Roman Chelsea? We were still a decent team with a big enough fan base, at the end in debt yes but had enough quality to attract buyers. If it weren't Roman it would be someone else.
    2 points
  23. No we weren't. In £90m worth of debt, yes, but NOT about to be liquidated. Unless you mean we would have had to cash in some assets (players) to raise money, but that is not bankruptcy, nor is it liquidation.
    2 points
  24. You do realise we finished 2nd in the EPL, won a UEFA CWC, a League Cup, 2 FA Cups and a UEFA Super Cup in the six years before Roman's arrival? Hardly nothing!

  25. How about llorente back to Swansea, and Tammy back to us?

  26. Did Everton not even register him because of his injury? I guess he’ll be pumped then, if he gets off the then bench.

  27. To be fair that's two games against dross. I agree that Bats should have been given more of a chance but it's blindingly obvious Conté doesn't rate him. If reports are legit that Conté is gone at the end of the season then sending the Batman out on loan till the summer and the new manager can make a decision then after he's played plenty (hopefully) at BvB.

  28. He's 31 coming up 32, he's never been a fast player so he's used to not relying on pace to score goals. He is a good player and a very solid backup if we did sign him, he suits our playing style much more than Arsenals. I still prefer Michy over Giroud, Michy has shown a good deal of confidence in the Brighton & Newcastle game, he's playing better with his back to goal than he usually does and he does score goals. I would give Michy the push instead.

    Eden Hazard

Injuries have hampered Bale's RM career but i'm sure he has been happier playing at Real winning 3 European Cups with some of the world's best players. Regarding Hazard i have a feeling he puts happiness before trophies, i think he would rather be settled with his family and has enough money. Just my opinion though.

  30. For £15m it's a decent buy. If dortmund are so keen on Batshuayi, why couldn't we have just gone for aubameyang? If we were prepared to spend £25m on dzeko could we have not forked out another £15m and thrown in bats? Giroud is decent, but Aubemayang is better and younger.

    Eden Hazard

Is winning more trophies more important than happiness though? like for example sure Bale has won 3 CL at Real Madrid but he hasn't ever replicated his form from Spurs at Real Madrid. At Spurs he was the main player everything went through him he was the star and at Madrid he's just another player, i think Hazard enjoys playing that role for us. If you asked Bale if he was happier playing at Spurs, banging goals in every week and winning player of the year, or playing at Real Madrid i reckon he would say he was enjoying his football more wen he was at Spurs. Thats the way i hope Hazard sees it.

    Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea

Why, Eden is doing two jobs - providing & scoring goals - Morata & Michy have one job - to score goals

  34. I think Giroud is a top player. The price is a bit much if its true considering his age, but we are a bit desperate and its getting late in the window so we are bound to get fleeced. Also he can play in the Champions League unlike Dzeko. I'm happy with this, although I'd be happy to give Michy more opportunities.

  35. £35m for a 31 year old reserve player? Is this really what it's come to. Blimey.

  36. Rubbish for Newcastle today, if I didn’t know any better you’d think he wasn’t even on the pitch.

  37. Personally think he’s had a great debut season so far and think he deserves every game when fit. Would think that next season he’s going to be first choice for us. Great player.

  38. Don't know how. When our assets were valued higher than our debts. Shouldn't believe everything you read in the Daily Star. Similarly nobody seems to have actual public knowledge of Roman's financing structure of Chelsea. I have read in more than one report that it is in the form of a loan which a holding company repays. Perhaps we might be bankrupt again then?

  39. You mean the idiot Russian owner that has made this club what it is today?

  40. I dont believe for one second Chelsea are selling him. The only way Celtic are getting him would be on loan.
