  1. I'm sorry but I disagree with a lot of this. City hadn't adopted Pep's ideas? The man spent £200m that summer (on top of the £200m spent the previous), broke the Premier League record for money spent on a defender (Stones). Given that sort of backing you would expect a team to at least run you close in league, he massively underachieved last season given the resources available to him. Conte came into a side that had finished tenth the previous year, after a poor start completely overhauled the team's system mid season... He was able to get the team to adapt to his ideas and vision

  2. Exactly. Think everyone agrees that City play fantastic football but that's because Pep has been allowed to assemble a very expensive and talented squad. He identifies the players and he gets them. Barca have Messi. Without him they wouldn't be even half as effective. Sure they play some great football at times but it can also be very dull just watching them pass, pass, pass. As for Arsenal playing beautiful football......................

I love stats. My favourite, although forgive I can’t remember the exact number but you’ll get it in term of just how you can use stats to prove or just about disprove any arguement Anyways it goes like this 10% of all road traffic accidents are caused by drivers who are under the of drink or drugs. That means that 90% are caused by people that are stone cold sober So looking at the numbers if you get drunk or stoned you have less chance of causing a RTA!

    Tammy Abraham

What do we think about his first season of senior football? 8 goals in total, only 5 in the league though. That being said, he's still Swansea's 2nd highest scorer this season, behind Ayew who has 11 (7 in league), and Swansea have been very poor going forward all season, creating very little. I'd say I think he needs another year on loan, at a side that will create more chances. I think he's still a long way from being Chelsea quality.

  9. But that's your opinion. In the opinion of his follow professionals he's been the best left back in the league this season and I don't think they'd judge players based purely on the number of goals they have scored. I don't think he's been particularly poor defensively this season. He's had some bad games, no question and we would undoubtedly have benefited from having had a fully fit Emerson from the begging of the season to allow better rotation. That said, I think he's still been one of our best performers again this season and I would expect him to continue to be first cho

You can say that for every manager on the world. And right now for the best there is - Zidane. Most people was slaming him for Morata and James, but it`s shows he made the right choice. Now they are crying about the same thing, and why isn`t Asensio is a starter, why Isco is not a starter in most matches and such b.c. And of course for Benzema, that is his favorite player and play him out of form, but exactly Benz

Loved the flag that states something along the lines of" Tottenham here we come". Long walk back from Euston that night to South London. Every cabbie did not want to go south of the river. Thats arsenal fans for you.

  15. It is all about balance. Balance to serve the team to win football-matches. To say Arsenal plays better football is just plain stupid. If you mean better looking attacking I still don't agree with you. I think Haz-Willian at best is one of the most aesthetic things you can witness on a football-field. I really think Conte is the best man to continue. Hope he wants to stay. If he was a bit grumpy when we were in trouble he has a point. He couldn't deliver with inferior players.

  16. I think he's been poor. The service to him has been really bad, but he fully relies on it, he can't seem to do anything for himself. This season will be good experience for him, but he's got a long long way to go before being anywhere near ready for us.

    Our New Stadium

Football revenue has moved on massively from when Arsenal built the Emirates, teams are getting north of 100m now a days just for TV revenue. On the other hand, players wages and transfer fees have also sky rocketed but the correlation between Arsenal re-building then and us building now isnt as skewed, IMO. The sad reality is we'll have to speculate to accumulate with the new stadium, we cant be left behind by other sides who have 55k+ stadiums and make more money through gate revenue and merchandise/food/booze being sold on match days. Ideally, we'd have had this stadium built a de

  20. SOMETIMES, Arsenal play football that is easy on the eye (Not Beautiful). They haven't played anything approaching "beautiful" football for a LONG time and the majority of their fans are fed up with it and the lack of being able to compete with the best, hence the Wenger Out campaign which has finally succeeded. At times this season our football has been poor, but there have been plenty of games where we've played good and entertaining football. You seem to like to dwell on the negatives.

They absolutely do, as well as the press. Victor Moses gets no praise for his defensive work, Azpi only ever got praise from Gary Neville on MNF I think when asked who is the best defender in the league, until this season when he starts assisting loads the spotlight is on him and when the assists stops so does the praise.

  24. conte was trying to fit loftus-cheek into a striker role last season, so i don't think conte would have played him as a central midfielder. drinkwater was one of the leicesters better players, and after getting fleeced by us for kante (who was a massive coup considering his importance in our team and how his price has now tripled at least), it's no surprise they weren't letting drinkwater go without us paying out. chamberlain cost about the same anyway and you think he's any better? £15 on barkley is still a steal considering everton initially wanted £30m+ for him last summer. emerson loo

    Alvaro Morata

Cherry pick? Believe me, there is no reason to cherry pick. Its been a season of bloopers from the guy. Their is a world of difference between morata and bakayoko's position though. As CM, we can keep bakayoko in the squad and easily integrate him. Get his confidence back, whereas with morata there is no way we are buying another 70mil striker unless he leaves. And if he stays, then we have to give him the 1st striker position and take a massive gamble. I am applying the same logic to both the players but the returns to the gamble of both staying and coming good is massively different. A

  26. The "back Conte and we would have a great squad" is dumb. He showed no sins at Juventus of being good in the transfer market and at Chelsea his targets have been awful, short term signings that were unrealistic and/or terrible. He has been backed. £200m is quite clearly enough backing for any manager. It's just he wants us to spend £300m+ on terrible players who would've made us worse in 2 years time. Just look at who he wanted signed and their average age.

And you wonder why we cannot form any striking partnerships up front, when it seems every season we keep f**king about chopping and changing because some one had a mediocre year. Where are we going to find a WC striker for under 100 mill...ffs we should stick with him, he has the pace and the ability, yes he's missed a few, well so has Kane and Sarah. I think he would have learned a lot from this year and in my mind it would be absolute stupidity to sell him or loan him out...who the f**k loans out 70 million pound strikers anyway........well I guess we could be the first

  30. No. Can people stop saying this sh*t on here. Naingollan. Aged 30. Likely to have cost £50m but chose to stay in Rome. Bonnuci. Aged 31. Likely to have cost £40m but chose to stay in Italy. A. Sandro. Aged 27. Would have cost us £60+. Luckily we saved £40m and signed who Juve was going to sign as his replacement. Emerson looks class too. Llorente. Aged 33. Was it £12m they wanted for him? Thank god we didn't do that. Koulibaly. Aged 26. Would have cost us £70m. We signed Rudiger for half of that and he too looks class. We also spent £58m-£70m on Morata for him a

  31. I also believe speeding saves lives. There’s speed limit, average speed cameras so people are so focused on their speedometer and trying not to go over the limit, therefore not concentrating on the road as much. No speed limit, people will have 100% focus on the roads without any worry in the world. Speed saves lives.

  32. Conte can be very offensive in his play but this squad is not suited for it. To be offensive you need to have quick players and ones that can press. He is playing the way suits this team best. Really all is missing is a top quality midfielder a right winger and a forward and I will be very confident we will challenge for all the trophies in STYLE.

  33. the only issue i have with those stats is he/we were fortunate to have come into the club when there was little challenge in the league. man city hadn't adopted pep's ideas and mourinho didn't have the players he wanted at utd. liverpool didn't have salah and klopp didn't have liverpool playing well like this season. spurs keeps us on our toes and pushed us. the problem with spurs, they lost kane for well over a month due to injuries. i think if they had kane they may have beat us to the league. as much as people want to sh*t on them they pushed us close and they also had added fixtures with C

You won't be getting much movement out of Giroud, Alonso, Baka and Fab. Imagine them in the 4 x relay . The 352 formation relies mainly on Hazard doing something on his own.

    Eden Hazard

When he plays like that yesterday he's impossible to mark. Three defenders around him didn't matter, he glided past them as they kicked his legs and ripped his shirt. I will say it again: we need to keep this player at all costs and put some damn attacking players/philosophy around him. He's too good of a player to ask him to be a false 9 back to goal type and hold the ball up. our team doesn't link well with him at all. Willian is one of the few players that can play off Hazard's trickery and Willian barely starts anymore for whatever reason. Fabregas has a good enough football brain to

  43. Very good manager if you want to look at statistics and results, and as much as I really like him I place full responsibility on him for derailing the season. All that moaning for most of the season, did us no good. Once the window shut, nothing could have been done again, so he could have made his point in one or two press conferences and gotten stuck in to his job of coaching the team. The running theme of his press conferences were literally draining me emotionally and mentally, I wonder what it would have done to the players who saw him 5/6 days a week

Last season we won the title. Titles don't grow on trees, they shouldn't be taken lightly. He was immense. Got into the team of the year on merit, no little feat considering he was largely ridiculed upon his signing. He was disciplined, he was tough, he was brilliant. Maybe you should have last season's performances on continuous loop. Then there was the CL final, where he played with a dodgy hamstring, or a
