  1. Depends how you define an error. I personally would say letting Messi stick the ball through your legs twice would be two errors.

    Eden Hazard

Not suprised. The guy is a disrepectful c**t. Kissing the badge on his first day having won the title at their rivals. Disrepectful. Encouraging hazard to leave a club that has played a massive part in helping you reach 'the pinnacle of your career'. Disrepectful. Refusing to train at a club that is paying you £6m a year. Disrepectful. Using your kids to leverage a move, instead of just sticking a transfer request in and saying you want to move to your dream club. c**t. Disrepectful c**t.

    Tiémoué Bakayoko

Call me crazy, but this actually makes me a bit sad. I had such high hopes for him when he signed. He was injured when he started and was rushed back into action, but kept his mouth shut about it. He played his way into being vilified by fans, and has kept his mouth shut about it. I know the millions of dollars will help make him feel better, but I really wanted this to work. It's best for the club he moves on, but it upsets me that this was such a spectacular failure, because he seems like a decent kid. Tactically Kovačić and Jorginho are massive improvements in the midfield over Bakayok

Would much rather have Kovacic for a year and Kepa than Vecino and Butland, which was the likely alternative.

Kovačić is miles ahead of Loftus-Cheek, and there'll be plenty of games for everyone when Baka and Drinkpints leave on loan. Loftus Cheek needs to step up if he wants to stay here, he always looks decent but never quite at the level where you'd want him starting, unlike say Ampadu or Hudson-Odoi

  12. I don't think I have wanted to see somebody sign a new deal so much since Lampard in 2008. I remember Sky Sports News at the time saying the club were just about to hold a press conference involving news on Lampard's future. I was crapping myself, i was so relieved when it was announced that he signed a 5 year deal. If the day comes that Hazard signs a new 5 year deal, I will probably celebrate it like we have won a game in the 95th minute.

Also, good riddance Courtois, he played a part in our winning seasons but was nowhere near the level he seems to think he is at. Good luck but he'll be quickly forgotten, or be remembered mostly for how he treated the club.

  19. Not only is he very highly rated with huge potential he's also very comfortable with the ball at his feet. In a way we've kinda upgraded on Courtois as this kid will be a much better fit for Sarri's system Our signings this Summer all perfectly suit the system that Sarri is trying to implement, We have listened and identified targets that our manager wants and appear keen to actually change the philosophy of this football club There's been an element of panic in this widow but we've actually done brilliantly this Summer, we've kept hold of Hazard and Kante and signed 3 top players.

    We've got a new Kepa

Kepa is eligible to make his debut for Chelsea in the Premier League opener against Huddersfield Town on Saturday and said: “It’s a very important decision for me, for my career, and also for my personal life. “So many things attracted me to the club, all the titles the club has won, the other players, the city, the English Premier League. It’s an accumulation of things, and I am very glad Chelsea has decided to trust me and to take me in as well.” Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia added: “Kepa is a talent we have admired for a long time and we are extremely excited about his arriv

  23. One parasite less. Bye, bye thibaut, you wont be missed. Surely he had his moments, but he hasn't came as nearly close as he was supposed to be and we thought he'd be. Never truly improve our defense in the corners and the other set pieces, conceded very silly goals, his head and heart was never at the Bridge. He'd be remembered as one of the many good players to stick around for awhile. Nothing more. Good luck to Kovacic. this mid lane is scary.

Another reason it might be useful is that its giving someone like Barkley /RLC the opportunity to earn the place for next season whilst protecting ourselves against them not being ready

I agree that we have a midfield that has the potential to get the best out of him. With Jorginho creating from deep and Kante working defensively, it immediately eliminates two of the problem jobs for Kovacic. I reckon the key is to keep it simple for him, either carrying the ball in transition or running hard off the ball to make opportunities for Jorginho/Kante/Hazard. The problem so often with players who are talented at everything is that coaches are reluctant to let them specialise and I think Kovacic has been a victim of this.

    Mateo Kovačić

He is potentially a top level player but his career stagnated at Madrid because of Isco's renaissance. Kovacic is often unfairly compared to Modric because they share the same nationality but he is more akin to Ivan Rakitic of anything. He's tall, strong, quick and has very good dribbling skills that allow him to carry the ball on the counter-attack. I think he will suit Sarri's style more than most, as his skillset is very similar to Marek Hamsik (though not a proven goalscorer).

He is a good player but I wonder what will be his position for Sarri, I just think it's a bit looking like Morata signing because Kovacic has been mostly on the bench for years...

  38. I actually thought we sold this guy to Stoke. He was good prior injury, just like Van Ginkel was (Please don't tell me we still have him on the books as well), but you don't recover from those kind of injuries easily. He looks to have even lost some of his speed from what I saw at Stoke which was the only thing that saved him from his constant concentration lapses and bad positioning.

  41. Looking at players like Zouma it makes you realise you really do need a lot of luck to become a top class footballer. If it wasn’t for the injury, I’m certain Zouma would be one of our best defenders. Such a shame, reminds me of Essien, and Torres for Liverpool. Never nice to see bad injuries ruin players.
