    UEFA Nations League 2018/2019

Rofl people still not resisting taking digs at Morata who comes on in the 72nd minute, long after Spain conceded 3 and only managed to pull one back. I mean I guess it saves Alonso from being criticised for being part of the defence that conceded 3 in the first half.

3 iconic away games in a row. Man City, Pompey, Grimsby. Saw us win the double at Wembley against Portsmouth, but wouldn’t swap the memory for that midweek game all those years back. I was in the side stand where we had half the enclosure and the seats above. Most of Chelsea were behind the goal. Before the game, where our end met the terraced home side, it looked certain as if it was gonna go off, but somehow it didn’t. Lost me mates after the game and got the slow train back on me own- in pre mobile days if you lost your mates you might not see them for the rest of the trip.

They are a better team, but it was no fluke, with so much possession it brings danger, we've seen it here at Chelsea this season, if you have a lot of the ball you are more at danger of losing the ball in areas where most of your team are in front of the ball, and if you have some fast forwards you can take advantage of it, which is exactly what they did. It was really simple, all the goals were created in open play with half the Spanish team in front of the ball.

Decent performance from England last night. The highlight for me though was the Dier challenge on Ramos. Obviously no fan of Dier (for England and even less for Sp*rs), but love to see Ramos get done and the boy did good!

True, and the many instances Conte played him when he was clearly not good enough.

There’s some good names there. Papa George ( always get him mixed up with Boy George!), still regularly plays the Cavern in Raynes Park for free.

Hazard is even starting in their friendly game against Netherlands tonight and I won't be suprised if he play 90 minutes.

What good is topping the stats if you don't stick it in the onion bag? I mean if England scored 3 goals from 5 shots then their conversion ratio is something to be applauded and it shows efficiency and ruthlessness in front of goal. What good is having 70% of the ball if you do nothing with it, much like we saw with Chelsea against West Ham.

Have seen Papa George a few times: a fine performer. On a couple of occasions his drummer was Sam Kelly and the bass player was Peter Stroud both of whom are fine musicians. Stroud and Papa George have also performed with Bad Influence, the lead singer of which is Val Cowell. She has a fine voice.

I mean, the option was Danny Drinkwater who's also terrible. The club screwed up terribly that summer spending over £100 million on those two and Zappacosta.

I want to say The Chelsea lads looked good, but I hate to type this. It was the typical performance for Morata. I am starting to worry that Alonso might be heading back to Spain. He looked good going forward. Defensively? not so much & Barkley was all that & a bag of chips.

If not the DOF then who elses fault was it? Or do we play the 'I don't like manager x therefore it was a manager x buy'

Not sure. Had some great times upstairs over the years- think it varies night by night eg Soul, Jazz, Brazillian, Cuban - mostly DJs sometimes Jam sessions. Theres a good soul/ jazz funk reunion once a month at the Burlington Arm Mayfair.

    Eden Hazard

More annoyed with that C* Martinez playing Hazard 90 minutes in those Internationals than the transfer rumor right now. Most teams are using the nation league games to give the upcoming a game, this f*er playing his best players game in game out, and determined to wear out a few players.

    Tiémoué Bakayoko

For me, he's the worst signing we've made in the Roman era, for the money we spent and on how bad he is. I don't think I've seen a worse player to wear the blue, I hate being negative and rude towards our players but Bakayoko's performances used to stress me out so much. If he comes back I don't expect him to get 5 minutes of game time, that would be at someone else's expense. He's a waste of money and we need to get rid of him asap, he's nothing but a negative atmosphere in this club.

    Maurizio Sarri Officially Appointed

Let's just say that you could write the same article about any club bar City - not the whole manager pattern thing, which is just bollocks, but the pessimistic prognosis and overly negative assessment of the team's play. And the way he somehow had a go at the fans at the end and dragged the yoof thing in as if it as if it had anything to do with anything - I mean, was the overall subject of this article "all the bad things I can think of to say about Chelsea"? Should have finished it with: "And lets face it - blue is not a very nice colour, is it?"
