I really think he decided to return now, and even more so to the PL, because his ego couldn't bear Lampard getting praise for how the team are playing and how well he has integrated youth. Mourinho mentioned something many weeks ago where he alluded to Lampard being given the time and having less pressure so integrating youth was simpler for him. I think Mourinho, deep down, hates the praise for others and needs to be in the limelight which is why he was on Sky every second weekend. It is why he's given interviews recently. He didn't want to sit out and look for a job elsewhere,2 points

Levy has form for being quite gullible. He appointed AVB just after he crashed with us and has now appointed Jose after spectacular meltdowns at his last two jobs. I'm guessing both gave long winded details about how it was all the players fault and Levy on both occasions brought it hook, line and sinker.2 points -

Spending £300m to win the Europa League and falling out with half the Manchester United squad is now being painted as a major success. Staggering amount of revisionism in the papers about The Special Once. I had his card marked years ago, but it's amazing how it's taken some Chelsea fans this long to see Mourinho for what he is.2 points -

as things stand, i'm not too concerned with jose going there. i'm sure there will an initial bounce, I wouldn't be that surprised if we lose to them next month and their gloating support treat it like winning a cup final. but I just can't see it working. the man who moans most about signings has gone to a club that can't make signings due to the huge debt on their stadium. And his style will inevitably piss off some players...who will be their luke shaw/Pogba etc? As for poch going to utd, he's better than ole but same goes for him. he's still unproven at the highest level in the sense th2 points

Can't see them being top 4 this season, Jose has never been successful chasing a goal even in his prime (be it top four or title), for him it's always been about getting there and staying there come hell or high water. Whether he ultimately is a success on Tottenham is dependent on one thing, whether he delivers the PL or CL.1 point -

In summer i'd like to see. Sell: Christensen, Alonso, Barkley, Giroud, Pedro, Willy Buy: Telles, Mings, Chukwueze, Areola Squad: Kepa/Areola Azpi/James Zouma/Rudiger Tomori/Mings Emerson/Telles Jorginho/Kovacic Kante/Gilmour Pulisic/Chukwueze Mount/RLC Willian/CHO Tammy/Bats I think we need some serious competition for Kepa to motivate him at the moment. Areola seems to have been banging about on peoples benches for years and is comfortable playing out from the back. Christensen doesn't real1 point -
I think he'll surprise a lot of people at Tottenham unfortunately. United was a mess long before he got there and he won the title with us before that. When he's got top strikers he tends to do very well and Harry Kane might be the perfect Mourinho-striker. I actually fear them in the top-4 race again. And it wouldn't surprise me at all if we end up facing them in the knockout-stages of the CL this season. The game against them on December 22nd will be huge.1 point

You're welcome, Davey Baby. Agree, that it's looking less and less likely that the project will go ahead which will be a shame. I reckon that a new plan will be drawn up where the hotel, bars etc at the back of the Shed End will be knocked down and an extra tier is added to that stand. An extra tier on the MH stand would be nice but I think I read somewhere that because of the railway line that wouldn't be possible. I guess it's a case of watch this space.1 point -

He would not have taken the job unless he is going to be backed heavily in the transfer market , look at his contract $15 mil a year ?? Never has and never will take a job without a big transfer budget available With the NFL contract and increased revenue from the new stadium there will be a lot of money available to him I think this is the first of a number of big deals for Rottenham. His backroom staff appointments are more interesting some very highly rated coaches joining from Lille , he will obviously take the credit but lets see how they are playing in 6 weeks1 point -

Funny that, I hated Liverpool in the 70's/early 80's but would always support the English teams in Europe, remember cheering Liverpool, Forest and Villa winning the European cup, wouldn't dream of that now, I always support the opposing team when up against an English team these days, back to Liverpool, have to say really liked the team of the late 80's Barnes,Rush, Houghton etc played some wonderful football, back on track though I totally hate them again now!1 point

Mourinho is just whoring himself off to whatever club will take him at this point. You would have to be pretty desperate to take charge of them 😁 Mourinho going to Tottenham has killed the last bit of love he will get from any Chelsea fans I think. Even if he is our most successful manager ever, there is no way the fanbase will forgive him for this move.1 point -

Ruud Gullit revealed his all-time XI which featured Rangers legend Davie Cooper whom he said was “magical” and “unbelievably skilful”. The 39-year-old, who played for Clydebank, Rangers and Motherwell before retirement, tragically died from a brain haemorrhage on March, 23, 1995. He made 22 appearances for the Scotland national team, scoring six goals in total. Gullit’s all-time XI featured Peter Schmeichel (goalkeeper), Manfred Kaltz (right-back), Paolo Maldini (left-back), Marcel Desailly (centre-back), Franco Baresi (centre-back), Diego Maradona (right-wing), Davie Cooper (left-wing),1 point -

Both were keen on horse racing and one morning Ally told Davie he'd a " Dead cert tip in the 3.15 at Kempton Park, but I can't remember the horse's name. " "What is it ?, What is it ?" asked Cooper.
