What's he thinking of?, inviting a glamour model, dressed in Lingerie round his flat! Silly boy. If I invited a glamour model dressed in Lingerie round my house, I'd be the one needing an Ambulance, and if my Mrs came home I'd need two Ambulances!!!12 points -

Some people think arrested means sentenced.3 points -
That's not how the justice system works, otherwise we're potentially looking at him being proved/found innocent and him losing a chunk of his career. I remember Allardyce talking about why he kept playing Adam Johnson pre trial and he said bluntly because Johnson maintained his innocence throughout. Unless his guilt gets either proved or admitted (to which if happens his contract will be terminated), it's as you were regarding his involvement in the squad.3 points

How to end this season ?
MKBlue and 2 others reacted to Bobbywoodhogan for a topic
Seen the R number is creeping up as well, a second wave is coming. Football isn’t important, if people are desperate there’s classic football on TV and various apps etc. End the season.3 points -
Definitely did not put himself in a good situation and I really hope he didn’t rape her. If he did, that’s awful. That being said, let’s hold off on the “we need to get rid” and jumping to other conclusions. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time a woman has accused a famous rich person of sexual assault in pursuit of financial gain and that could be the case here. Either way, a bad choice by him to invite her over.2 points

This is the point we might as well be completely out of lockdown the way people are carrying on. Mostly idiots that have been trusted to act sensibly or people misinterpreting the confusing rules from the government. If anything this is a good precursor to how people will act if football is played at the stadiums, and that is they cannot be trusted one bit. No doubt in my mind the same prats at the beaches will be outside the stadiums every game.2 points

The whole thing is farcical, social distancing, masks and tests before and after the game, no handshakes....but full blooded tackles, man marking and the usual cuddling at corners is all ok. All this while its fully accepted that the tests are nowhere near 100% exact. Basically f**k everyone we need to make some money.2 points -

The thing that annoys me the most is the UK had a heads up of what was coming from other countries, we had the opportunity to take action early and close the country down before things got too serious. However we listened to the money and refused to do anything until it was too late. Now we are opening up too quickly and listening to the money yet again. The irony is that listening to the money men in the end is probably going to cost more in the long run, and it is us the general public who are going to end up paying back the money after the governments screw up.2 points

My view still hasn't changed. Void this season, forget about any thought of playing until every frontline worker is getting regular and immediate testing, the population are subject to test/trace/isolate properly, not in some half-arsed, vaguely promised, weasel-worded way and there is SOME sort of control of the pandemic. This ridiculous move last week to open up is just a blatant attempt to sneak the disastrous "herd immunity" eugenics solution through under the radar, without ANY indication of a vaccine being available for the next 18 months (at least) and the government messaging, co2 points -

Our government no matter how they spin it are still very London centric. Lockdown has been lifted despite parts of the country still having very large numbers of new infections and death rates being high. Personally I live just North of Manchester and the past week has labelled us as a hot spot. This virus is still very far from under control like the government would like us to believe, hence why suddenly certain graphs have disappeared on briefings.2 points -

My neighbours are from Belarus and you have to consider there are more people in London than Belarus. People don't live cheek by jowl in Belarus and a lot of the country is extremely rural. But one of the biggest factors is (and I don't want to sound unfair ) the ones who moved away couldn't visit and the ones who lived there couldn't leave and it's hardly a tourist hot spot so there was no chance or very little of CV being spread.2 points -

It's absurd. The thing that makes me laugh is that we are told we still need to socially distance ourselves from others, but the Premier League are trying to make a ton of players and staff get together and play some football. If I was to arrange a kick about in my local park, we would all be in trouble, does the Premier League think they are above that rule?2 points -

Jim McLean Dundee Utd manager was 'in the huff' about his assistant manager Walter Smith going from Dundee Utd to Rangers. Smith moved as the assistant manager to Graeme Souness. So McLean refused to sell Gough to Rangers. He went to Spuds for £650,000 or so. In Oct 87. Rangers paid Spuds £1.5 Million for Gough and I think he made his Rangers debut away at Dundee Utd !1 point

If I remember correctly, some of the players including Richard Gough objected to having a beer company being advertised on their shirts. Not long after Gough moved to a bigger and more successful club. I am, of course, biased.1 point

He was worse than that, he blatantly made things up to try and drop our fans in it. He has been outed as a spurs fan on social media. Basically he was a decent reporter that lost his paying job, then he saw a market for finding racism and homophobia in everything knowing he would be backed by the social media warriors. Some of the things he did were sickening, trying to get people sacked and arrested for the most innocent of things.1 point -

Wait till after this weekend, when everyone starts moving across the countryside and down to the coast, it will be bedlam, that R figure is on the rise, London has definitely improved recently, but come next week when more people go back to work and public transport becomes over run, the virus will spread again here as well, not looking good I'm afraid. Personally I thought easing the Lockdown was far to soon, remember our Lockdown was less tougher than Italy, Spain and France but we have a higher death rate than them, so we obviously should of kept the Lockdown going longer. But don't worry,1 point -

How low is the morale of the nation anyway? So "low" that the only thing to do is to just put some live football games on the TV? Why even bother with that silly argument in the first place? Did anyone make a study about it and concluded that forcing football players to play would be the right thing to do? It's a mockery and it should insult a regular person if you ask me, there are a whole bunch of people that simply don't care about football at all and I simply can't think of how someone would feel better about the current situation by having this distraction of watching a live sport e1 point -
