  1. Brendan's audition for the Spurs job looks like it's going well !

  2. Apparently if moved to England the main options are Villa Park and White Hart Lane. Please, please, please let it be the latter, winning the UCL in Tottenham's 'fortress' is probably the only thing that can top Munich.

  4. This is from Twitter so bang on πŸ˜† Arsenal really sacked Arsene Wenger cause he couldn't win the league & only made Champions League. Hired Unai Emery & sacked him cause he couldn't get Champions League and only made Europa League. Hired Mikel Arteta, lost to the guy he replaced & can't make Europa League

  7. Manchester City won't admit it, but they're sh*tting themselves at the prospect of playing us. They would have preferred to play Real Madrid where they would have dismantled them with ease. Tuchel can more than hold his own against Pep, and the FA Cup semi final will give them food for thought. To be blunt, anyone bagging Frank can go f**k themselves. The man is a club legend and helped the club during troubling times and if it wasn't for his extraordinary work last season, none of this would be possible today. As for the performance, it's one of the most mature performances I've seen for years. Haven't seen us dominate a European tie like that for a decade or more.

  8. Turkey added to the UK "Red list" meaning people entering the country from Turkey need to isolate in a hotel for 10 days on their return. FA are in discussions with Uefa over moving the final to the UK. Yesterday UEFA said that the final would go ahead in Istanbul. After all the noise from the FA, UEFA and FIFA over the last couple of weeks about how important the fans are and that they're the foundation of the game... Let's see them put their money where their mouth is and actually make a sensible decision and move the final to UK venue for the benefit of those very same fans they claim to care so much about.

  9. Only really nervous? He gave me a f**king heart attack, I was sure he was to be sent off with a straight red and therefore unvailable for the final. But lovely to see how he was taking the mickey out of a Madrid player here and there I've never heard the word "silky" so much as from the pundits this week when speaking about Kai.

    Timo Werner

Drop him and play Tammy! Tammy is more of an all rounder don't you know. Drop him and play Tammy!! Tammy is our top scorer don't you know. Drop him and play Tammy!!! If Timo was from the academy he wouldn't play, don't you know. Drop him and play Tammy!!!! Werner never has any impact don't you know. I of course do not think this, but those who usually post this type of nonsense have been conspicuous by their absence.... wouldn't want their voices to be lost. πŸ˜‰

  13. Why are people making a masterclass performance all about frank being sh*t? How about try talking about the match other then as an intro to abuse frank, yes he wasn't ready for the job but he stabilised us in his first season and built a platform for what we are now. I am open for anyone criticising anyone even SFL but why is this all coming out now? One troll mentions it and people come out from the wood work to jump on the same line. There is a frank lampard thread especially for talking about frank. If you want to slag him off that is fine but do it on the thread dedicated for it and not to try to bring people down on a thread where the majority of us want to show how happy we are after last night

    Fan from Serbia

First, I would like to greet all of you. anyone whose blood is blue, my brothers and sisters. I am from Serbia and i will try to write as short as possible πŸ˜„ When I was younger in second half of 90s, i heard some songs from Partizan Belgrade fans. They are singing some songs in which Chelsea was mentioned. In positive way of course. After that my dad told me lot about Borota, about his lucidity etc. He was definitely first stronger link between Chelsea and this area here. In late 90s, i followed news about Chelsea just in some sport magazines or newspaper. In Serbia Live on the tv in that period there were only domestic league, calcio and CL. So, at the beginning of 2000, there was much more PL on tv and i started to follow Chelsea more. Especially when Slavisa Jokanovic arrived at the club. So, thats my beginning for following of Chelsea, and this post its my beginning on this forum πŸ˜‰ Once again, big greetings to all and cheers ! 🍻

  15. Truly great athletes can do this... he glides... so he doesn't look like he's putting forth a ton of effort. So you need some perspective... other players around him. and when he's carrying the ball in open space, NO ONE catches up with him. The man is a unit (that's a good thing in american english, so apologies if that doesn't translate). I think we're going to several new levels of him as he settles in and matures.

  20. Play football on Thursdays with two City fans and they were unbearable last night, apparently they will 100% win because they're a better side. Do they not know what our record as underdogs is like? Not to mention have they forgotten who have knocked them out in recent years?

  22. I was really nervous when I saw that kick-out trying to get Nacho off him at 12 seconds. Had Nacho milked the situation and rolled around on the floor I could see how the ref would be tricked and may have sent Havertz off.

  24. He's already a special player in my opinion. Young, excellent defensively, great stamina, and good at retaining possession/winning fouls. He's never going to be the Robertson type of LB that puts in crazy deliveries but one that brings others into the game and often makes the right decisive pass. Don't expect him to take players on and whip deliveries round the back of the defensive line, you will be disappointed. 3 goals and 7 assists is an excellent return for any LB.

  27. We didn't buy Havertz to be the new Ronaldo / Messi, why does every decent young talent need to be compared with them. He's more like a combination of Ballack & Zidane, you can see the confidence and his style is starting to show.

  34. Common attitude amongst their fans though right? General sense on entitlement that they are owed a CL, unhappiness they have to face an English team in their first final as real would have been far more glamorous, they are dominant in the league which proves they are better than us and they remember thrashing us at the bridge and expect both Saturday and especially the final to go the same way. You wont find many who are fearful of playing us, they expect victory and see us as a few levels below their side.

    Kai Havertz coming to Chelsea

I thought he was ok early in the season, wasnt really being dominated but after his illness he looked a lot weaker and unsure. Be interesting to know how much his resurgence is down to his physical recovery from Covid, mental attitude etc.

  38. Ive been surprised by the reffing in all the knockout games in europe, theres been a lot less falling for cheating, giving free kicks when a player just falls over etc. Long may it bloody last in my opinion.

    Welcome Hakim Ziyech

How can anyone think of selling this guy?? He gives us something else which is great to have better squad depth and strength. He's been up and down with injuries and hasn't really been able to be played into form. In no way should we look to ship him off and I believe his best is yet to come.

  40. Doesn't have to be a disadvantage imo. Let's have Pep spend every minute of the next three weeks coming up with some magical way to screw it up while we keep our rhythm.

Everything about Mason is what makes people love Chelsea. Plays with heart and desire, has fantastic leadership qualities and he's truly one of us in the same mould as JT.

    Timo Werner

It is not strange imo. He has clear strength and weakness. He is an absolute menace in open space. His behind run is by far his strongest attributes. If the opp play high line, he is the 1st name on teamsheet. However, he has clear weaknesses. The most glaring is he is very2 average on the ball. He tend to struggle in tight spaces. This has been the case since his first game with us. He was fantastic in the 1st half against Brighton because there are tons of space behind, once Brighton tightened their defense, his influenced diminished big time.

    Tammy Abraham

Ziyech hasn't even bothered to get in the photo. Following Jim's logic we can only assume it is down to an attitude problem and that he has told Tuchel to shove it and wants to submit a transfer request.

  44. Jorginho at the full time whistke last night. He's not been a fan favourite since joing the club but he's been excellent for the most part since Tuchel came in and last night was another quality performance.

  45. Most understated run by any team to reach a Champions League final. No hype, no great expectation or unnecessary pressure. Feels like I am dreaming, absolutely amazing achievement. Imagine being at the Bridge last night. So proud of the team and Tuchel. Tuchel has the Midas touch, he has really impressed. No matter what happens in Istanbul reaching the final is a considerable achievement. KTBFFH, love Chelsea.
