  1. Barkley, Kante, Werner, Reece hit the ground running. RLC, Kepa and Havertz didn't- although with no pre season or proper integration think that's to be expected for him. Thought Mason was subdued as well. Our strength in depth this year is frightening, really. 5 first teamers (if we buy Mendy) out today. Big season ahead ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  2. Tell you what- if Christian keeps this form up and Ziyech and Werner hit the ground running next season, we could be up there in terms of having the best front three in Europe. Regardless of top 4 finish, exciting times ahead, at least from an attacking perspective.
  3. Bayern fans often got on Warner's back when he was playing against them, also they wouldn't pay up for him last season- not complaining though!
  4. As a Chelsea fan from Munich, delighted this one has gone through and he didn't end up at Bayern. Lethal striker and a big statement from Roman, Marina and Frank that we're not fading away from the top table yet. Hope Timo keeps his scoring up in the EPL ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  5. Still amazed Luiz had the consistency in him to win the league in 16/17. Guess with 3 CBs there's someone covering him when he cocks up like that- but he's so error prone. Funny though ๐Ÿ˜‚
  6. Fairplay to Jose, we don't have anything to fear against the small teams- Spuds falling well within that category.
  7. Marcos was one of the first names on everyone's to sell list a few months back. Considering how Emerson blew his chance the past few games, do we hold on to him for his versatility at LWB?
  8. Like the lineup! Reckon itโ€™s the youngest first 11 for a long time, apart from Willian ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  9. We need to take more shots, De Gea's confidence will have been hit even more by that. Enough passing around their area, no need to score the perfect goal. Well played Rudi for taking that on and Marcos for his composure. Big second half ahead!
  10. Would love to see his reception if he ever comes back to the Bridge, especially if he moves to Utd with Smalling and Jones in front of him. Anyway, hope his struggles continue for a long time yet ?
  11. haha, pretty poor post above on my part...named antonio "allesandro konte" instead. maybe best not to post after a 10 pint session! probably also why the song wasn't catching on still, think he's doing a quality job right now. stamping his identity on the team, long may it continue
  12. Not sure a song has really picked up for mr konte since the start of the season....been living abroad for a few years and havent been to the bridge for a while. Me and my chelsea mates here have gone for "alle-ssandro konte.....alessandro ohhhh" (to the tune of "don't you want me baby"). Any other shouts? Feel the godfather deserves a song!
  13. Fairplay to that Arse fan for telling the story, hope it's true. Either way, Costa is world class. Love Jose, but have to feel that something must have been wrong between the two of them. 5 in 6 vs 3 in 16
  14. Used to always hear from scouse mates that Torres was better than Drogba back when they were the 2 best (with Rooney) a few years back. Fairplay to Nando for joining us, but even at the age of 37 I'd still take Didier. He isn't the player that he was, he has been pretty poor recently, but at the end of the day that's 7pts we might not have secured without his contribution this season. He'd almost certainly be the striker in my dream Chelsea team since I started watching (sorry Gianaluca, Franco, Tore, Eidur, Jimmy, even you Chris Sutton). Complete and utter Chelsea legend and a man who loves t
  15. Never wanted a player to do well for us more than Torres. All those little patches of form he hit for 2/3 games made the 15 game scoreless runs right afterwards all the more painful. It was never going to work for him at Chels though. Relieved he's gone, as long as we get somebody in before the window closes. Have a feeling it'll be a certain lesbian lookalike from Man Utd...
