wallosh reacted to ForeverCarefree in Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
So what you're saying is that Conte was able to get better results out of our team in a shorter space of time than his rivals were from their own sides? But this makes him overrated?

So, Zidane leaves Bale out of his team and when asked he says "its very clear what I done"
Yet, Conte respectfully send a text to Costa to look for a new club as he is not in his plans and gets murdered by fans and media.
It resonates so much with what Sarri is going through now. We don't support our managers whatsoever, that's why we have such a weak squad mentally as they know they have the power to fire a manager in an instant if they want to. Hope Conte signs for Inter as we will see his true quality then.

I could agree with that.
If there is one manager in recent times we should have put our faith and trust in it was Conte.

He'll win the league with Inter.
Best manager we have had bar Mourinho.

Third season.
Inter aren’t pulling up any trees right now so I reckon to go and hire Conte they’re going to go all out to sign certain types of players for a couple of years.

Am not expecting us to win, but I can't avoid not watching the match because regardless of the result, we still have had a good season from my own perspective. If we end up winning it on the other hand, i will be really excited and it should a sort of record, winning it every time we compete in it! -

Come in, suffer with the rest of us! You never know it might be the one game Higuain looks like a footballer or Kovacic actually scores a goal.

Just listened to BBC Radio 5 chat about us and Arsenal going through. From what I keep reading and hearing really sounds like the media is behind Arsenal on this game. Kind of hope it helps them underestimate us and the performance clicks on the night for us.

But the massive difference is that they have two very good strikers as opposed to our,................eh..............................None!
One-off game, we just have to pray we keep those two strikers quiet and that Hazard has "one of those" games and everyone else is up for it. With us already qualified for CL and Arsenal needing to win more could go either way, but let's just hope ALL our players turn up and we beat them in a game to remember.

I've seen alot of people saying that Arsenal have the edge because Emery has the know how and the experience.
Let's not forget that some of our squad have experience of winning in a European final:
Pedro (With Barcelona)
Luiz
Azpi
Willian (With Shakhtar)
Hazard
Cahill (won't play but i'm sure will offer advice)
Outside of Cech and Ozil i can't think of anyone else in Arsenal's squad who would have a similar experience.

wallosh got a reaction from EmeraldBlue in Tiémoué Bakayoko
That was because we played him in a box to box position which requires great ability on the ball and talent. I think he will be a very good defensive midfielder who simply needs to just make interceptions, protect the back for but leave the attacking duties to the attackers. That worked well for us with Mikel.

Courtois? Producing match winning saves consistently? Haha -

Let's have him back, Kante is usually late as well, Kante can drive him to training. -

But you would expect that as Liverpool & City have been that good, their keepers don't tend to see a great deal of action.

Fair point.
But if you think about De Gea over past few years, he has saved United so many points. Obviously I’m hoping we won’t have to rely on Kepa as much but I would like to see him produce some of these match winning saves.
We have such a big job in the summer, we need to revamp the defence. Fullbacks need replacing, desperate for a top class centre half, need to replace Kovacic and Fabregas, need to replace Willian, Pedro and a striker.
I think we’ll be a top 4 contender team for a few years. No way we can resolve all of the problems in one summer.

Think he's been one of our better players this season poor defending has left him exposed at times not entirely all his fault.

If only he could save a shot, any shot would do! He's surely an outfield player that's been stuck between the posts, he just doesn't look or act like a keeper. Shilton, Schmiechal, or Cech he certainly isn't. Might come good next season De Gea did.
