Now you're moving the goal post's. You said we would call for his head if he had a "horrid start like Klopp" well results wise, he did! I think Klopp may have got top 4 (or just missed it) if the table was only counted from after his arrival.
And while we're on the subject of Liverpool fans, both Roy Hogsdon and Brendan Rodgers had similarly woeful results at the start of their tenure, one they aggressively called to be fired and the other they backed to the moon and the back, why? Because one shown a clear vision, blueprint and hope better results will come while the other was branding a 1-0 win at Bolton a famous victory and calling Northampton Town a formidable challenge. They then also 'turned against' Brendan three years later, why? Because they stagnanted and were rolling out rubbish display after rubbish display.
And this "one month of bad play and you turn" is simplistic. Firstly there's bad and there's bad, one month (coming up to two) and 10 games barely looking capable of doing the basics is a long time, our greatest ever manager lost his job due to a similar rut and if you or anyone still think that was the wrong decision i'd love to hear why. Secondly my stance from day dot with Lampard (and any manager for that matter) is that there's progression and evolution or at the very least a structure, last season there was the greeness but also the promise, we had the Bournemouth games but also the defeats we were brilliant (Liverpool, City) and the games it all came together (Spursx2, Everton) with that came the hope that once he strengthens the squad the promise will become the dominant part of his management but the total opposite has happened. We're currently on a run of 3 wins (one vs a L2 side) in 10, which is the type of run that puts manager's at risk at Palace let alone Chelsea (not to mention Vialli lost his job at pre Roman Chelsea for 2 wins in 7 and that was after an FA Cup win and CL last 8 appearance), especially when the performances aren't there either.
I'm actually quite easily pleased, if we lose to Wolves in the manor we lost to say Liverpool at home last season i'll be the first to turn round and say "ok, frustrating result but there's finally something in the performance, we played quite well, we had a structure, we went down kicking and screaming, we can really build on this" i'll be then absolutely fine with holding fire because i've seen some hope that could fix this, and that's literally all i ask for, hope. I'm fully up for a medium term wait to win or even challenge for honours again, what i'm not up for is us playing eye gouging football while looking so tactically rudderless. Come win, draw or lose i want to be able to enjoy the games in some way shape or form (for example as boring as the football was at times under Sarri, i liked watching our growth from a possession perspective and debating how we will progress from there) at this moment the results are crap, the performances are even worse and there's not even anything in the games that i could pinpoint as a base trigger to build on, unless you would like to enlightenen me on something i'm missing...

What we see on the pitch is more important than previous track record in my opinion (what did BVB have to go on when Klopp started slow there?), we had a world cup winning manager in 2008 but it was clear by Christmas he simply wasn't cutting it.

The fact we've let that garbage within touching distance of us is the most annoying thing about the recent run.

To cut a long story short, do you think AVB would have delivered big ears? Or Scolari the 2010 double or even the 2009 FA Cup? Would Mou have delivered the 16/17 title?
Regardless on what my stance on any particular manager is I've always trusted Roman's judgement on it because by inlarge he's got the decisions to sack right, especially in hindsight.

Fully agree, except maybe the Mou one. That's just me though, I wanted the board to back Mourinho that season no matter what, make a statement so the players didn't get their own way. But it wasn't meant to be. I can't say he's impressed me much since leaving though, failed miserably at United and he's not amazing me at Spurs.

Conte who I absolutely adored in the first season, pissed me off the season after with his constant complaining and shifting blame. So I was okay with seeing him go just due to his behaviour in the press, but I still have a soft spot for him and always wish him well elsewhere. Ancelotti sacking ripped me to shreds though I have to say, hated that sacking.

Half decent keepers don't let that in, it was almost straight at him. I've seen Mendy face similar shots and he just plucked them out of the sky with minimum fuss.

The most damming thing is we have the quality to at the very least be an entertaining 4th-5th side (ala Klopp pre Alisson).
When so many top players (which make no mistake our boys are) look so clueless there's only one place to look.

It's not that you wanted Sarri out and are sticking by Lampard 100% that I was challenging, it was more some of the wording. Ultimately wherever someone stood on Sarri and stands on Frank the majority only think what they do in the belief it's what best for the club.
End of the day we all (apart from the odd few trolls that pop up occasionally) post with one agenda and that's what we believe is best for Chelsea football club, and in my view that comes before anyone, me, you, Frank, Sarri, even Roman. One example on my end, Drogba is my all time idol (for what he does off the pitch aswell as what he did for us on it) but I was fully against his return in 2014 because I didn't think he was at the required level to compete in the PL anymore, and well he wasn't really but ultimately no harm done as he got to exit as the centre of attention on title day which was probably a more fitting end than his last kick in Munich.

You say it as you see it Argo, On Sarri, I wanted him gone because of the football I watched not sure if you go but £100 a game is an awful lot of money to watch the same dross he was churning out, with no future with a manager who you knew didn’t want to be here, I’m not saying Frank is going to be the next Brian Clough, but with the emergence of the youngsters, last season above expectations in what we did, this blip only being 6/7 weeks with us playing mainly higher league teams as well, people surely can have a bit more patience, regarding double standards, some people may stick to their principles through thick and thin, and no knocking that, me, I prefer to be more fluid and change as I move through life and become more knowledgeable and  my views and opinions change, my choice,  regarding name calling, I’m sorry but if me saying the Xbox brigade offends you youngsters, I suppose it was meant to, in a friendly sort of way! If you-young ones called me Grandad I wouldn’t take it to heart.

Im all for Gilmour Argo, and id pitch him in next to mount at the base of our midfield with Havertz in front, whether its because of a lack of height and Presence I don't know, but its one of the few permatations that have yet to be tried.

But going by your logic that we have no entitlement to be top half, surely that also applies to being top 6 (which we were under Sarri all season long) or competing with one of the best teams at the peak of it's powers (which we actually done in the clashes either side of that 6-0)?
Then here below you were moaning about Sarri (while we were in 6th position with a game in hand) because you believed we were going to finish 6th and fail to win the Europa League, so if people criticising and wanting a change while In 8th and on a run of 3 wins in 10 are (according to you) being a spoilt brat and FIFA brigade amoung other pleasures then wouldn't that (at a minimum) also apply to criticising and wanting the manager out when we're 6th (with a game in hand at home to Brighton to take us 4th) and on a run of 6 wins in 10 as we were at the time of this post? (disclaimer: i don't think that just using your metrics)
That has an awful lot of similarity's to some of the comments you've been shamming lately.
As much as I don't agree with Yorkley's stance atleast he's been consistent with it through every manager, you're criticising and name calling people for doing exactly what you were doing and more this time two years ago. Oh and have I forgot to mention our current team are much stronger than that one? even factoring Hazard.
Now I've got nothing but respect and admiration for your dedication to the club down the years and while sourcing out that post I really enjoyed reading some of your nostalgia postings about the club, but I'm sorry your double standards on this are absolutely shocking!
