  1. Yeah he was, I remember him doing a brilliant bit of skill in the 70 Cup Final at Wembley, about on the half way line I think, which is now known as a "rabona".
  2. I was 21 in that season, and like chi blue, I was also in my Lyle and Scott and Pringles. The good times !
  3. It is Ron Suart as Peckham mentioned, but I think it is a bit later than the 71/72 LC Semi against Spurs. I seem to remember the old East Stand still being there during that game. Could be wrong though as my memory plays tricks on me.
  4. I thought he put in a shift last night in a difficult game, and we shouldn't forget he has only been at Chelsea for about 4 weeks.
  5. The smirk, that says, which f**ker wants it first. !
  6. His first game against Sunderland, when he was through on goal and tripped over his own feet, was a sign of what we bought for a big fee back then of £10 mill
  7. Absolutely. The club, players and manager need the support now more than when we were winning. Time to rise to the fore, as in my opinion it is the supporters job to support. As the song goes, I was born born under a Chelsea star !.
  8. Absolutely right. The club, manager and players are going through a spot of bother at the moment, let's show them we are there for them during troubled times.
  9. I don't remember it being so toxic even when we were poor during late 70's and a large part of the 80's. Like you I hope the supporters just support the team, that is the job of the supporters after all, but more importantly it's what the players need at the moment for their confidence. Loud and proud all game, win lose or draw.
  10. I'm not sure if a manager would want to come in if we are on a 2 window transfer ban
  11. That's how it looks to me as well. I am assuming we followed the FA rules, but FIFA are saying the FA rules are incorrect. I don't know but it is a mess whatever the issue is.
  12. Now you are just trying to put a different spin on the ridiculous comment you made that we had an easy League Cup run, which included Liverpool, Tottenham twice and another PL team. And my final comments on this........What is pointless is trying to discuss with someone who makes the statement that Liverpool and Tottenham are easy games. So for arguments sake, you are 100% right mate. Cheers enjoy your day.
  13. What I realise is that you claim we had an easy League Cup run, which included Liverpool, Tottenham twice and another PL team. And after your League Cup statement everything else is white noise.
  14. Alright mate. I give up. Liverpool and Tottenham are easy games. You are 100% correct.
  15. It still does not hide from the facts, that Liverpool, Tottenham and to some extent another PL team is not an easy cup run.
  16. Liverpool away, and Tottenham home and away in the League Cup is far from an easy run.
  17. I think he deserves more than 7 months as well, however last night's sub with Zappacosta was surprising to say the least, I understand he wanted a more attacking approach down our right, but it should have been CHO, especially as we were running out of time.. What I cannot blame Sarri for was the schoolboy defending for both Man Utd goals. It was comical defending. I also thought that Kepa should have done better for the 2nd goal. I have also said before that we have a soft underbelly, and that was more than evident again when we went one down. There is no movement upfront, and there is also not enough players getting in the box when we have the ball out wide. The amount of times we went to cross the ball and there is only Higuain and 3, 4, or 5 Man Utd defenders around him. The squad as you say is stale, and several players over 30 with one foot out the door, and not really bothered about Sarri's style. With the fans turning on him though I think he's gone, but without change from the board and bringing in a DOF we will back here again no time soon. I didn't see Zola in the dug out last night, anyone know why ?.
  18. Messi has nothing to do with the latest shiny new manager, Zidane. Ronaldo has been the top scorer in the CL for around the last 5 or 6 seasons, and without Ronaldo, Madrid would not have won it for the last 3. I have my opinion and stand by it. Cheers have a good night.
  19. Would not have won the CL 3 times without Ronaldo, he carried that team
  20. Personally think without Ronaldo it would've been a different story. He carried Madrid in the CL imo
  21. Yes he did, and I remember Cantona clearing one off the line.
  22. The Craig Burley back pass to Beckham for Man Utd 2nd goal, was what I was referring to. Don't remember the 10 men, but then again I don't remember much from that day.
