DukesOfHazard reacted to JoeyN in Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
He comes across very well.
He's truly happy to be here. I'm excited to see what he can do in the next few months. Honestly, I thought he was going to be another Sarri (personality wise). Looks like I was wrong.

Not sure why the negativity.
Looked far better without actually getting anything from the game.
We created chances finally thank f**k.
They (wolves)didn't really look like scoring. Recently everytime the opposition got the ball I felt they would score.
Not sure why kai is getting so much sh*t thought he look really good in stints. But you cannot expect him to create anything if every f**ker is standing still, hopefully tuchel can beat that outta them.

Some of the negativity in here is so hypocritical when the same posters would jump down other posters throats for the same tone of posts. Baffling.
For grown men/women its pretty embarrassing to be honest.

Glad it’s 18months and not more as were bound to sack him.
I wish him all the best and hope he succeeds but that’s a sensible contract.

Feel bad for Timo.
The boy is bereft of confidence at the moment.

I thought we played MUCH better today. We moved the ball forward much quicker and even played some through balls (mainly from Ziyech).
Unfortunately the Kepa howler has given Luton some confidence but so far I am happy with what we saw so far. Much better than against Morecambe despite Luton being a Championship side.
Only player I am really a bit disappointed in so far (apart from Kepa) is Pulisic who seems to be a shadow of who he was last season. Not sure what is wrong with him.

Tell you what, never mind Frank getting sacked. People should be calling for whoever approved signing that absolute donkey for £70m to be sacked. I still can’t believe it.

Definitely a day for us to remember. A Chelsea academy player leading the team out in FA Cup game! Very proud of him, fully deserved!

f**k off Tammy - smiling and laughing with his England mates from the Leicester team. f**k you. I want players who hate losing. Not bambi on ice who is happy to share a laugh with his mates when we lose.

Exactly!! You could see it developing and where it was going.
We’ve gone backwards playing slow football looking for crosses yet buy a 50m striker who thrives in the exact opposite.
I know he’s had chances but you get my point.

Very concerned by what we continue to see. Individually, collectively, and overall decisions. Few things that stand out to me:
Same midfield trio that we know have very little creativity. No different swapping Kante with Jorginho from that aspect. Credit to Mount for getting the goal. What was the point of playing Kai and Timo against Morecombe? Confidence I thought. Both delivered with a goal each, plus assist to Kai. Dropping them must further reduce very low confidence Fulham's organization and low block created the same problems we've had all season. We are unable to get in behind any teams and rely on crossing While Giroud is our best finisher, concerned this leads up down a false path as it has changed our style of play significantly to deep crosses. Often, the cross has to be perfect with Giroud or Tammy competing against 3 defenders Teams are more than happy for the center backs and Kante, Jorginho or Kova to have the ball. It goes sideway for a long time, eventually forward. Receiving players first touch often takes him away from goal, and immediately back to the center backs. It is awful to watch Credit to Cho - he took on his man and tried to make things happen. Deserves more game time than he is getting Same formation and problems, different personnel every week tells me Lampard still doesn't know his best side No evolution of system or ability to adapt; we're almost relying on individual moments or mistakes to win the game Every player is so timid they often turn to face our own goal and head back. I call this doing a Willian Once ahead, they looked so nervous against a 10 man Fulham side. Giving away needless freekicks only invites more pressure. Should have killed the game off Sadly I think the problems are bigger than some are willing to admit. Luckily the table is so tight and any hint of form will change things. Young players also thrive on confidence in the absence of experience, so I do believe it can turn around. The signs are far from encouraging though, and concerned we are regressing, hindering player development and cultivating a negative approach to football (sideways and back, no one really taking the chance). It looks like every player has a head full of instructions, and they're forgetting to play football and rely on instincts that made them superb players in the first place.

One of the main reasons why players like Pulisic are so ineffective this season is because Lampard has changed tactics on the wing. They aren't instructed to be direct anymore. They have become support for the fullbacks to overlap and get a cross in. It's not worked to our benefit though, it's made us much worse as a team.

With no creativity in the middle and a little more room with Fulham at 10men why is Kova not off for Havertz? Or did we spend 70m+ on him for a laugh! Or Gilmour for that matter

One thing Frank has to do is also get Werner, Havertz, Pulsic and Ziyech scoring/assisting again. They’ve completely dried up and are not threading enough.

This is it for me, you spend that sort of money on that kind of talent/potential you build around in particular Kai for me who looked like a future Ballon Dor winner before coming here. Yet Lampard seems intent on putting them wherever fits his 4-3-3.
I don’t see why he hasn’t used a 4-2-3-1 that he’d used at Derby to get the best out of Kai.
Werner is getting hard to defend as he has missed an incredible amount of decent chances but you still want your best players in their best position and he’s barely played in his.
Lampard won’t and shouldn’t be sacked yet but he must know the figures above him will be discussing what should happen if it gets worse and he should therefore be making a change.
Perhaps changing to the 4-2-3-1 could be a magic moment like Contes switch to 3-4-3??

DukesOfHazard reacted to JM7 in Super Frank Lampard
I know Frank has finally settled on his system which is 433 but I think he needs to mix it up. We’ve become tired, stale and predictable. We’re not creating any chances and everything is slow.
Werner needs a rest. He’s played a lot of games.
One thing that interested me was Frank mentioned that without the high intensity, our game doesn’t work. We’ve definitely lost that. No-one is making runs or pressing. I don’t know if that’s down to tiredness or whatever.
I don’t think we should panic. Results and performances have been disappointing recently but we have just come off a 17 game run.
