I think most of this is just gossip, I don't buy the bad dressing room.
Sure Rudiger might have wanted to play more and same goes for Jorginho yet don't think this poisoned the dressing room.
I thought with my ESP skill he was a goner after the Leicester game yet there were no announcements.
I think the board disliked a few of the things he did yet would not have sacked him mid-season if our results were good enough.

Yeah. It doesn’t sound right to me. I know a bit about Kovacic and this doesn’t really fit his profile. It doesn’t square with other comments he’s made to the media. Also, given his not great form, surely if there was bad blood Lampard would have played him less? Much better to just ignore this stuff as there’s bound to be crossed wires.

I thought he’d be given a few more games tbh, and said so after Leicester. Wrong. Such is Roman’s MO, and there’s not much i or anyone can do about it. As I’ve said before, it’s insanely hard to succeed in football management, requiring an incredible commitment and a very broad skill set. If I’m honest, Lampard probably doesn’t quite fulfil enough of the criteria (the man management id suspected may be an issue) but I’ve always been willing to give him time to prove me wrong. Alas the owner is less patient than me and many others. We have to accept it, no use crying over spilt milk etc. Would advise keeping an open mind and not going straight to the doom scenarios re Gilmour and other academy players. They may well have a role to play.

I've been in and out watching tonight and agree at times decent patches of play yet do think this is the end of the line for Frank.
I expect the announcement any day soon.

Doubt this will get many likes but this has been a lot less bad than other recent performances. I don’t think it’s over for Frank yet.

Expectations have really nosedived. Understandably so, but it’s quite a shift. And it’s not just on here. I’m seeing it in the media too. Leicester can “pounce on ponderous Chelsea”, says Sky Sports. If I were a Leicester fan, that would make me wince, just as the Chilwell “we’re invincible” interview made many on here nervous - justifiably so, as it turned out alas. This doesn’t mean we’re going to win of course, but I prefer this setup. We have a better chance of winning than many seem to think.

Not sure this is a must win game (how many times we will hear that this season?  Every game is a must win game?).
I would take a draw but obviously want the win. A loss would be …unwelcome and place Frank under a lot of pressure. My hunch is that Chelsea will play well and either draw or win.

A close first half and they lost a man.
We kept up a good pace and pressure yet could not really make it count and also looked a bit error prone defensively like with Azpi's back pass to Mendy almost going astray. Mount took his goal well from their poor clearance. No problems with Frank's subs today.
CHO looked lively when he came on and stretched them. Tammy not sure yet at least he closed them down, noticed Lampard screaming at him to get back and help defend a corner. Werner should have had a hattrick not sure what is wrong with him. Other stuff
Why when we are a man up won't Chilwell run down the line for Pulisic instead of waiting for the hospital ball? Giroud was less effective and if we are going to throw in crosses we need someone like Havertz in there too.  Ziyech despite crossing well does not seem to be able to hit a decent shot on target. Summary
Not convincing yet an away win.

Kova got the majority of the supporters' votes. We can safely assume he didn't manipulate any voting machines, so holding a grudge against him is extremely silly.

As I said before , as soon as Chilwell said " we feel like we can't be beaten" in a Guardian headline before the Everton game I just knew what would happen.
he hasn't been here long enough to know you just don't say that !

Makes sense. Of course the money comes from Roman 🙂! What club has the self-sufficiency / bottom line to splash 200 mln on players at a time like this? Not Liverpool, as Klopp kept moaning about over the summer. And in that case certainly not Chelsea, as we must be considerably less profitable. When you factor in the astronomical costs of running a football club, plus all the foregone revenues etc, 200 mil is a hell of a lot to be spending on players right now.

Well yes, I agree. But Lampard has shown that despite the poor form we would still be playing in the same way, I hope that he himself doesn't rely on our team to magically just work things out.
If he's unwilling to change his tactics that might be his downfall. Sarri also stuck to his guns, ran the same plan and eventually it worked out. So here's hoping that Lampard can do the same, even if I don't really see how from my point of view...

The trouble is Gol, there’s no magic money tree in the way there was when Roman first arrived. There are limits on how many players we can get and the board has made it clear. In strictly business terms, Roman wants a return on his investment and the extra £200 mil spent adds to the pressure / shortens the required timeline in which this return needs to be delivered. Surely you would agree that our current squad can do better than what we’ve been seeing lately. If you don’t believe that it means the £200 mil was a horrendous malinvestment.
I suspect you think the former; hence, it comes down to Lampard needing to improve things pretty quickly. Otherwise the owner will look for a management team he deems more capable of delivering that return. He’s not going to keep Lampard there if he thinks that means he has to spend more money. See what I mean? So in short - Lampard has to improve a lot and quite quickly. I’m still hoping he can but one has to recognise it’s the only option in the ‘Lampard stays’ scenario.

Sarri is a better manager than lampard, so not sure what you mean by that. Every club Sarri manages gets worse after he leaves. Of course lampard isn't as good as sarri, he's got significantly less experience at this level.
Lampard is the most junior and inexperienced manager we've ever had. He's going to need time to learn his style and either we are patient and allow him that time or we get a more experienced manager in. The hope is he improves and becomes that manager.
Too many people think football managers are born great. That you either have it or you don't. To be a great top level manager you need to learn the game and that takes time.

Gol15 Gol15! What happened? Are we really back to this? You’d raised your game mightily on here since last season. What’s brought on this relapse? Who cares if some members don’t like Jorginho! It’s pretty daft to get worked up about this stuff and I know we’re all guilty of it (including me) but you take it to a whole other level. Does you no favours. Take a step back man.

Had Chilwell's shot gone in, you wouldn't have the chance to read that ugly stuff, I wouldn't be so frustrated and wouldn't react in that way at all, sorry.
Can't wait for Rice to sign in the summer, at least then people won't automatically bash a player after every game won or lost. Horrible fans won't change but Rice is English so there is hope.

After a shocking performance 2 days ago I would say it was a decent performance, you don't just magically become world beaters in 48 hours especially considering our form of late.
This is a Villa team who have battered both Arsenal and Liverpool this season.
Frank made enough changes which everyone was crying out for so not sure where the criticism is coming from.
