  1. Chelsea have sent their representatives to meet Stevan Jovetic in Spain in an attempt to thrash out a deal(Tuttomrcatoweb).
  2. RDM will have to take some risks in the second half. We have to try and get a goal, it's been one way traffic so far and it needs to change.
  3. I don't think you can read too much into Bertrand training on the wing. I'm sure RDM is smart enough not to show anything that the opposition could prepare for. I'm sick as a dog, nervous and worried, has been like that since yesterday, and it's getting worse as the time approaches. Win or lose, we know who we are. Come on Chelsea! KTBFFH
  4. Dean Sturridge, commentating on Football First, said he spoke to Gary Cahill before the game, who said he was in with a chance of playing yesterday and was confident of being fit for the CL Final.
  5. Linked with him in Telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/9244686/Chelsea-chairman-Roman-Abramovich-weighs-up-15.5million-offer-for-Germany-forward-Andre-Schurrle.html
  6. I actually think his technical ability is a plus in tighter games. He's got more ability on the ball than any of our current midfield bar Mata and we often struggle to create anything because of that.
  7. Dembele again impressed me yesterday against Pool. I'd replace Meireles with him in a heartbeat
  8. Dempsey is already 29 and while he's a good footballer, I'd rather we go for players under 25 to build the team around. Dembele is a good shout, I like his style and he's worth taking a chance on if he won't cost much, might develop into a solid squad player. I'm not too crazy about Fellaini, I think Everton is his level.
  9. Finishing outside of the top four would make getting Jose back even more problematic than any of those players.
  10. Javi Martinez from Athletic Bilbao is the type of a holding midfielder we should be looking at. Tall strong and great on the ball. Incidentally, he can fill in as CB, if needed. I like Tiote, but he's indeed very injury prone and I'd prefer to bring someone who can help create, and not just protect the back four.
  11. No idea how good he is or who he's comparable to, I just found the link and decided to post it. He does have a pretty solid goal record for Sevilla though.
  12. http://www.talksport...-striker-168899 Chelsea have moved a step closer to signing Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo after reports in Spain claimed he has been offered the chance to play for the west London club. Negredo has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge following his impressive displays in La Liga. Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool have also been monitoring his progress, but it now seems that Chelsea are in pole position to clinch his signature. Spanish newspaper Marca is claiming that a group of agents acting for Negredo have offered Chelsea the opportunity to begin negotiations with the Spanish international. Negredo is refusing to comment on the speculation, but it looks certain that he will make a big money move at the end of the season.
  13. Zola to CFC rumours are coming back. http://www.dailymail...room-staff.html
  14. http://www.thenation...o-london-rivals Roman Abramovich, the Chelsea owner, is prepared to fund the acquisition of a new attacking player as part of a summer overhaul of the squad, and the 21-year-old Belgian is one of several players the Russian's advisors have targeted. Hazard was voted the French Player of the Year last season after scoring 12 goals for champions Lille. He has decided to move to England in the summer unless Barcelona or Real Madrid bid for him. Lille are preparing their close-season recruitment plans on the basis of selling the creative midfielder whose contract has a €40 million (Dh195m) release clause. Playing Uefa Champions League football is important to Hazard and he will wait to see if Chelsea or Spurs miss out on top-level European competition before deciding his future. Hazard would add the unpredictability and pace to Chelsea's attack that formed a critical part of a plan drawn up by Abramovich and Andre Villas-Boas to revitalise the club's playing style. Villas-Boas was dismissed at the beginning of this month, but Chelsea's owner is intent on carrying through the restructuring of his squad. Edinson Cavani, the free-scoring Uruguay international, is also high on Chelsea's list, but Napoli will resist all offers for him because they face losing Ezequiel Lavezzi for his buyout value of €31m, with Paris Saint-Germain prominent among the forward's suitors. Chelsea also have a long-standing interest in Hulk, the Brazil international, but are more likely to move for Radamel Falcao, his former strike partner at Porto. The Colombian has scored 19 times in 24 Primera appearances since joining Atletico Madrid for €40m last summer, but the Spanish club have significant financial problems and the player would be open to a switch to English football. A less-expensive option would be Guiseppe Rossi, with Villarreal also under pressure to generate income in the coming transfer window. The Italy international is close to returning from a knee injury that has kept him out for six months and should be available for €20m. Chelsea, though, will face strong competition for Rossi, 25, from Juventus and Inter Milan. Abramovich is ready to allow Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou to leave on free transfers at the end of the season. Ashley Cole, Michael Essien, Paulo Ferreira, Frank Lampard, Florent Malouda John Obi Mikel are all available for sale. There has been no approach from Barcelona for David Luiz. The Catalans are in the market for a central defender, but their principal target is Thiago Silva, whose €40m asking price at AC Milan they are attempting to negotiate down. Barcelona officials earlier this season said they were not interested in bringing David Luiz to Camp Nou.
  15. From a very reliable Bundesliga source on Twitter Abramovich visited Arnesen in Hamburg yesterday and told him that Lukaku will stay in the PL (Everton reportedly favourites). I imagine it's a loan deal.
  16. http://www.mirrorfoo...icle854469.html Chelsea have had a £14 million offer for Fiorentina foward Stevan Jovetic rejected according to reports. The Italian club is believed to want closer to £20m for the talented Montenegro striker. AVB is weighing up making a new improved offer for the player
  17. There's a rumor on one of Brazilian footballing sites linking us with Lucas Moura, a 19 year old attacking midfielder from Sao Paulo. http://www.lancenet.com.br/sao-paulo/Chelsea-proposta-Lucas-pretende-ficar_0_620937997.html Supposedly, we offered the club €30m in the summer and now came back with an improved offer of €35m. The player himself doesn't want to leave Sao Paulo just yet.
  18. L'Equipe says PSG pair Makelele & Roche were at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday to discuss the potential signing of Salomon Kalou.
  19. Lazar Markovic, 17 y.o., Partizan Belgrade. http://www.thesun.co...to-Chelsea.html
  20. Eduardo Vargas, 22 y.o. Chilean attacker. http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/883764-chelsea-leading-race-for-eduardo-vargas-as-alex-nears-exit http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2069981/Alex-Nicolas-Anelka-banished-ruthless-AVB-axe-more.html http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2011/12/03/2786008/chelsea-close-in-on-universidad-de-chiles-eduardo-vargas
  21. They just repeat what Sun posted earlier. Just because Di Matteo was at the game doesn't mean he was watching Neymar. There were plenty of other players on display, tabloids are just taking guesses, as usual.
