  1. I gave you reason why it COULD happen, not that it necessarily will.
  2. The same reason as players still in their prime swap top European leagues for the Chinese league. Money. I don't believe in this particular rumour or even want it to be true, though...
  3. His career isn't over yet, so maybe Frank doesn't want one until he retires.
  4. I'm sure Conte has a pretty good idea who he wants in his team next season and we will buy at least 2-3 new players. If Oscar isn't part of his plans and this 35 million transfer turns out to be true, I wouldn't be too worried. He's been in and out of the first eleven, so it's not like he's an untouchable or anything like that.
  5. We've got some decent art house cinemas over here and sometimes there's screenings of some pretty obscure stuff. Well, obscure compared to to the stuff that's at the multiplexes. The festivals are usually the best place to see stuff like this.
  6. For some reason I hadn't heard of this movie. Thanks for mentioning it, I'll have to find this and watch one of these days. I don't think it's been in the cinema over here.
  7. I went to see Son of Saul the other day. It's the winner of this year's Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars (and loads of other awards). It was good, but I guess I was slightly disappointed. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't quite as good as I hoped it would be. It's a solid movie and I really liked the way it was shot. The really shallow depth of field and the narrower academy aspect ratio really added to the atmosphere. It didn't feel like a gimmick at all. Solid, but I'm not sure if it's a classic.
  8. The new one from Kaada/Patton: http://dangerousminds.net/comments/bacteria_cult_stream_the_new_album_by_mike_patton_and_john_kaada_exclusivel
  9. They're different in terms of genre, but there are some techniques he uses a lot, like "one point perspective" when he composes shots. And was there any other Clockwork Orange references apart from the poster?
  10. This is the one with the Clockwork Orange style poster, right? Was it "Kubricky" in terms of style?
  11. Can you post your picks here after the show is over? I'd like to hear what songs you chose.
  12. I thought the story was a bit too much like the original trilogy. I'm hoping it gets more interesting in the next one. This one felt a bit too much like a prologue.
  13. They heard you've been hanging out with James Brown's ghost?
  14. The laughing emoticon was there to signify that I wasn't entirely serious with the "most people are wrong" bit. That wasn't my intention at all. I'm not here to score points. More like chat about movies. Well, I'm mostly here to chat about Chelsea, but not in this thread. And to this one... I'd just like to refer to my answer to Gem above. You both are interpreting it as a malicious post when none was intended.
  15. Considering that they'd been nominated twice and won an Oscar before Toy Story was released, most people are wrong. It would be almost like saying that Aardman Animation's first creation was Chicken Run.
  16. Yeah, but surely they aren't demanded to wrap themselves in cotton and live inside a protective bubble during their free time? I'd understand the team getting upset about something like BASE jumping, but not holiday activities like the tandem skydive. Many footballers play golf. You're more likely to injure yourself on the golf course.
  17. Which was kind of my point... His tandem skydive is more safe than playing football, so his contract shouldn't prohibit it (the skydive).
  18. Not sure about walking down the street, but he's in more danger of getting injured in a football match than during a tandem skydive.
  19. I think the second one is one of those rare sequels that are better than the original. The third one? Not so much.
  20. Toy Story is not their first creation and to me it's not even the best Toy Story movie.
  21. Went to see La isla mínima (Marshlands) today. It's a Spanish crime movie. It wasn't bad, but it was more like a long episode of a television series rather than a movie. Some nice cinematography, but the plot wasn't all that.
  22. Andrew Bird's new one: http://www.npr.org/2016/03/22/471431758/first-listen-andrew-bird-are-you-serious
  23. I'll just leave this here: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/35782829 "When Chelsea beat West Bromwich Albion on a Wednesday night in dull, wet mid-November, there were barely 4,000 there to witness Garth Crooks miss the decisive shootout penalty."
