  1. If course I know it's a novel by Jane Austen. I even own a copy and have read it. Did it after I saw the 1995 version of it. Also liked the one from a few years ago. As for Colin Firth, I think he's brilliant in every way. I've now got the urge to watch the movie again.
  2. WHAT!? Not keen on Pride and Prejudice!? Someone call the ambulance because clearly Moi is not well. Is there an asylum where we can send her for a while? How can you not be keen on Pride and Prejudice? It's fantastic! The 1995 version with Colin Firth is to die for. I absolutely love it.
  3. I'd say Torres hasn't been that bad lately. Not great of course, but not bad.
  4. Apparently we have been looking at Sampdorias Mauro Icardi. Only 19 years old and is considered a really talented striker. Think he's scored 7 goals in 16 games, which is good, though six of them came recently against Juventus (2) and Pescara (4). So only one goal before that, if the stats are correct.
  5. In my pursuit to watch all nominated movies in this years Oscars I got to cross another movie off my list last night - Argo. Really good movie. Ben Affleck isn't the greatest actor, but he wasn't that bad as the lead character. He's much better at making movies and Argo really proves that. The movie should have a decent chance at winning.
  6. I actually think that it wasn't such a bad run by Torres. At first it looked as if he tried to pull the defender away, but even if that didn't work he still created an option out wide and a midfielder (Hazard?) could come in with full speed down the middle.
  7. Thanks. I think I've heard about the one with Neeson before, but seeing as the new movie is longer and still seems to have cut some parts out so as not to be too long, I doubt the movie from 1998 will have more story seeing as it's shorter. Might still be worth seeing though. Will have to keep an eye out for the other one as well. Crowe isn't great when it comes to singing, but he's not bad either. He's got an okay voice for the part and keeps his singing quite simple. It works. I've heard much worse. Though compared to the others in the movie, he might be a few steps behind.
  8. Just finished "Les Miserables". Two and a half hours of singing. And I f*cking loved it. What an amazing movie. Great story (though I would have liked to see more), the acting was brilliant and the singing surprisingly good. I've never been a fan of Russel Crowe, but I really liked him in this one and the guy can actually sing. Eddie Redmayne was a pleasant surprise as well. Hugh Jackman - superb. Anne Hathaway, brilliant. And the rest was great as well. And there were quite a few emotional scenes. When Hathaway sang "I Dreamed A Dream" I cried so much. Before I saw it I thoug
  9. Saw "Beasts of the Southern Wild" today and rather enjoyed it. It's not a long movie, but I thought it would be one of those that just drags on forever, but it didn't. The story was okay, but what really made it worth seeing was Quvenzhané Wallis - the then 6 year old who plays the main character Hushpuppy. She was nominated for an Oscar this year and I can't say she didn't deserve it. She carried the movie and was really good. I couldn't help but care for her character and didn't want to stop following her story.
  10. Decided to start watching making that list I wrote earlier shorter by actually seeing one of the movies. Went with "The Impossible". It's a movie about the tsunami in 2004. A family is on vacation in Khao Lak. Husband, wife and three boys. All is well, until the wave hits. The wife and her eldest son manages to stay together, but the rest is gone. She is wounded and with the help of her son has to find help. Wont say much more about the movie because there is quite a few things happening. All I can say is this: If you decide to see this movie, bring lots of tissues. I think I cri
  11. Has anyone else here ever felt that they have too many movies they want to see? Recently I've mostly watched tv-series (been hooked on The Big Bang Theory and Modern Family) so apart from Skyfall and The Hobbit I haven't seen a lot of movies. Well I did see Some Like It Hot on tv a week ago and it's still amazing, but apart from that, very few movies. Because of that, the list of movies I have and want to see grows longer every day. Current list: Django Unchained The Bourne Legacy Hope Springs Beasts of the Southern Wild The Perks of Being a Wallflower Amour Cloud Atlas John D
  12. The Hobbit has Sir Ian McKellen. Obviously the acting is amazing!
  13. Is Mikel even going to ACN? Isn't he injured? Even if he goes we have four players who can cover the two cm positions, so would it really be worth it bringing Josh back?
  14. Surely you can't be surprised. For once he doesn't play in a game and his "replacement" (as some call Ba) scores two goals. What better opportunity to heap more s*it over Torres?
  15. If Torres had played today, he would have scored three goals
  16. I doubt Jovetic will leave now just because Rossi came. I think Rossi has been injured for more or less a year now and he won't play until march, so Fiorentina hasn't exactly bought a player who will step into the team immediately. There are other rumours surrounding strikers to Fiorentina, so they might get someone else to possibly replace Jovetic. But I doubt he'll leave before summer.
  17. I know. The way things are going we could probably create a Chelsea B and a Chelsea C team as well. I can't help feeling that maybe we should start thinking of selling some players.
  18. Saw it a couple of days ago. I really liked it. Not perfect, but really good. And the cgi is amazing. Gollum is flawless. I really like that they've added some things to the story as well. Things that didn't appear in The Hobbit, but in other books Tolkien wrote. Before I saw it, I had read that some thought there was too much jokes in it, but I didn't think so. Nothing that made it too ridiculous anyway.
  19. In Torres defence after tonights game (and I am presenting a very weak defence), he really had nothing to work with tonight. He did have one good finish atleast, more than we can say about most of the players.
  20. Saw "Skyfall" last night. Have to say I rather enjoyed it. Didn't feel as long as it was (well over 2 hours). Strong acting from everyone. The story was okay, even if it feels like it's been done before. Like Bond is trying to be modern.
  21. Haven't seen the last two, but I've heard that Total Recall isn't good. As for the first two, both are really good. Not sure which one I'd prefer. Probably Sherlock Holmes.
