Supported Rangers almost as long as I've supported Chelsea, over 50 years. Even Martin King gave me a mention in his latest book, Hoolifan 2, saying I was the first person he ever saw wearing a Rangers scarf in the Shed, must have been about 1971 or 1972 ?
As a kid I'd go to see Fulham when Chelsea were away in the late 60's, always had a soft spot for them and loved their ground - so close to the pitch as opposed to the bridge back then. Gone off them since their fans seem to regard us as their rivals ???
Other teams I like and look out for their results are Wimbledon, Plymouth, Hearts and Dundee.

Cambridge away (1983-84) Division 2 ... incredible turnout! We arrived before kick off, joined the *massive queue* and didn't get in until half time. There were still hundreds of CFC behind us. I'd guesstimate 10,000 plus CFC trying to get into a tin-pot ground of just 11,500 capacity?
There were 1000s, upon 1000s of CFC milling around the ground beforehand and I honestly didn't see a single Cambridge scarf. I think they just kept their heads down ...

There was at least a couple of hundred of us if my memory serves correct, but we were still well outnumbered. We scattered the Holte End spectacularly though, one of the best 'takings' of an end that I can recall - proud to be part of it!

Great player on his day, just needs a heavy tackle early on to keep him quiet.
He was inconsistent at Chelsea, having moments of sheer brilliance, coupled with very average games. He was also Chelsea's answer to Darren Anderton, the original 'sick note', but we still loved him.
However, his attitude after being made to play at Anfield was a disgrace, he just didn't bother at all. He said he wasn't fit enough to play, but I believe he just didn't fancy it - lost all respect for him that night, and was well pleased when he left.
Let Ash give him a good whack and he'll disappear.

Boyne: My grandfather was at the Rangers v Moscow Dynamo game at Ibrox in Nov 1945. I'm sure this game was played on a Wednesday afternoon.

He worked in the shipyards on the Clyde and when he asked his boss for the afternoon off:  " To attend a family gathering .".

His boss replied: " I'll  see you there, as I'm going to your family gathering ! "
