  1. You're not kidding! He should be playing as much as possible between now and the end of the year so he knows we want him.
  2. We'd have to trigger the extended loan option, we can't sign him.
  3. Well it's going to get quiet in here, since we can sign any players until the summer of 2020... Of course we can still sell players but I would hope that we don't because if we start that we'll be unable to strengthen. I guess this means Kovatic will be going back to Real too.
  4. It's tricky, I mean how do you convince Drinkwater to move to a little club like Madrid?
  5. He's good but *very* young. It'd be a hell of a gamble taking a young kid away from home like that. Maybe if we bought him this year, loaned him out like we did Courtois and played Willy this year it might make sense but I'd be concerned if we were to make honour number one this year.
  6. Apparently we've offered £30m plus Drinkwater for Zaha... which has been turned down. The market is ridiculous. £60m for inconsistent wingers like Zaha and Mahrez while Barça are quietly picking up Malcolm for just over half that? At this rate we would be better placed to keep giving CH-O a run out, if Zaha is £60m then he's got to be worth at least £65m [emoji23]
  7. With the US market his transfer will generate a lot of income and talents that can unlock defences don't come cheap. There was a lot of chatter about why would City sign Sane and what a waste it was. Turns out that sometimes a highly thought of tallent can be worth a punt. Germany is a pretty similar level of physicality to the EPL too so it's not like he's coming from the Netherlands or Italy where you can't be sure if they can hack it. Personally I'd be pretty excited by this and it's a statement signing to be sure. Still don't know why we aren't looking at Fekir as a Fabregas replacement though...
  8. There's hints that Christian Pulisic might be bring hawked ariund by Dortmund. He's be expensive (£60m+) but he's a hell of a tallent and 19 had a lot of room to grow. Thoughts?
  9. There are 13 days until the window closes on the 9th. Given the glacial speed at which we negotiate deals this has zero chance of happening.
  10. That's good business by Fulham. £18m is bugger all by today's standards sadly and they obviously got their bid in, made an offer a were efficient. We don't even have a clue whom will be managing the team next year so maybe there's a reason for not wanting to join us. We're standing by while Arsenal, City and Liverpool are strengthening and we're standing still waiting for Real to come and take Cortois and Hazard off of us. [emoji849]
  11. This seems most likely the strategy. If he wants a move then he needs to make an effort, if not then we shouldn't over spend.
  12. Neymar has paid the clause and is essentially a free agent now. Of course how he is paid that back by PSG is between him and them. I can see them making a big hug for Hazard and possibly a renewed bid for Coutiniho.
  13. Thanks goodness we haven't signed a player recovering from a serious injury who won't even start the season... Oh wait... [emoji57]
  14. We certainly do seem to be happy to let other teams drink our milkshake at the moment... [emoji19]
  15. Let's hope he tucks Lukaku in his pocket this year... [emoji6]
  16. Give him a chance, he can't become a 30 goal a season striker with 10 minutes off the bench every other week. It's clear we are trying not to play the money game at present which is why we aren't throwing money at the Lukaku issue and despite rumours there has been no evidence of bids for Morata or Belloti, so why not give Batshuyai his chance and buy in somebody like Javier Hernandez to support him? Simply throwing money at a situation isn't always the answer. We have a great academy it's about time we proved it was there for a reason. Spurs got Kane from theirs, let's show them up by using Abraham (next season unfortunately) and others.
  17. The last new film I saw was The Girl on the Train which was really good. Emily Blunt was brilliant in it. I'm also off to see Dr Strange today too. Although technically at this point the last film I watched was this:
  18. Agreed. Southampton, Bournemouth and Hull are hardly the toughest start for him. [emoji849]
  19. Mustafi - Unproven Bailly - Unproven Stones - Proven Liability Williams - Proven outside of Swansea? I'm not sure you're getting better with any of these guys. Williams is unlikely to be what Conte wants, he has that committed, combative CB in JT, Cahill or Zouma. Mustsfi and Bailly *could* be good but who knows? It might take them months, even a season to settle and even then their game might not be suited to the league or our team. As for Stones... well we've seen what he is capable of and I'm sure as hell he's not a £50m defender.
  20. Well he's a blue now so fingers crossed.
  21. I agree that makes sense but only in last year's market. Now the market is crazy.
  22. £25m is cheap when you consider Bolasie and Benteke were £27m+. [emoji57]
