cfcblue got a reaction from Coxy15 in We've got a new Kepa
Kepa... a complete f**king, selfish w**ker...
He completely impacted the ambiance of the ‘feel good factor’ during the closing minutes of the game.
**MUST** have affected the players... Luiz (who tried to remonstrate with Kepa) missed his penalty = unusual.
TEAM spirit destroyed in the final huddle, just B4 the penalties. Compare with City = chalk and cheese.
BIG WILLIE would have been the better option.
Kepa lets a very soft penalty in...
Dear oh dear...

I thought big WILLIE for Kepa would have been an *excellent substitution* At such a vital time the shocking petulance of Kepa f**ks it up...
This had an impact, and my really positive feeling about this game’s outcome dropped.
And this must have effected the players.
what a w**ker...

1983-84 Season ... Proper! Don't matter how good it is on the pitch today (and it is) ... it can still never re-capture the atmosphere of these bygone days ...

Cambridge away (1983-84) Division 2 ... incredible turnout! We arrived before kick off, joined the *massive queue* and didn't get in until half time. There were still hundreds of CFC behind us. I'd guesstimate 10,000 plus CFC trying to get into a tin-pot ground of just 11,500 capacity?
There were 1000s, upon 1000s of CFC milling around the ground beforehand and I honestly didn't see a single Cambridge scarf. I think they just kept their heads down ...

Hmmm... not sure about this one... not really an upgrade on what we already have... a fitter, slimmer Zouma perhaps?
almost 40 million too...

For me, these pics capture the Shed End atmosphere, back in the day perfectly ...

Palace away (1983-84) Division 2 ... I think Palace more or less vacated their ground for us that day. It was like the London marathon on arrival. All CFC.

Chelsea 5-0 Derby (August 1983) Division 2.
The beginning of one of the very best years, both on & off the pitch ...
