ID this picture

Is it from an overseas tour on the back of winning the title in '55? Or, and I'm not sure about this, but did we play an overseas friendly after the FA or Football League prevented the club from entering the following season's European Cup?

Ok Ok everyone stop hounding me for the answer, I give in.

The date was 23rd May 1954.

The opposition was Borussia Dortmund.

The location was Randalls Island, NY (the early home of US Football)

Score was 6-1 to Dortmund.

Note of interest: Part way though the Chelsea tour, Chelsea lost its goalkeeper

with a serious injury. Argyle, going home before Chelsea, allowed them to borrow Shortt.
