Got me looking up Dr Feelgood youtubes there are a few .. if you never saw this band live in a London pub somewhere, this poor quality top of the pops youtube (funny in its self for the top of the pops classic intro) , they basically bought the house down where ever they played, simple but brilliant.

Surprised no follow up on this one, definitely even if you are not a Dr Feelgood fan Oil City confidential is one of those band documentaries that must be watched, I did not realise how cool Canvey Island was :D

I always knew that Wilko Johnson was a nutter on stage but didn’t realise how weird he actually was. Still one of the few electric guitar players I don’t mind listening too.

I recorded it, but haven't watched it yet - maybe tonight! I'm really looking forward to it, Dr.Feelgood are one of the bands that I truly regret never getting to see live.

Canvey Island, cool? :D Me and my mates used to go down there to drink in the Goldmine nightclub now and again, normally about 3 cars full, bloody long way from Mitcham just for a piss-up and to be rejected by crumpet - possibly due to our original chat-up lines. We could've done that in Tiffany's at Wimbledon or the Croydon Suite - oh wait, we did... :D

Didn't bother looking at this thread from the title, so was a bit surprised when I caught the beginning and it had Ian Dury. An unexpected pleasure. Turned off after that.

Finally got round to watching the Dr.Feelgood documentary - it's got to be one of the best rock documentary's I've seen, great stuff! Well worth watching if and when it's shown again, I'd highly recommend it.

Quick note, there's another documentary on the same channel tonight, featuring Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

I saw the Feelgoods at The Hope and Anchor in '76. Not really my sort of music, but a fantastic live band.

Some good captures of Dr Feelgood ... just got a bit overshadowed by Punk ... but excellent "Pub Rock" none the less
