Lampard needs to have next week, I think, and will start to train all the time with the squad. This week he had an easy week.

So he needs to have next week to rest or next week to get fit?

At a first glance I thought it meant he needs another weeks rest.

But the end statement said he had an easy week?

Maybe a return to face Spurs?

12th December.

I think with amount of time Frank has been out for, he is going to need some games to get back into the swing. No need to rush and make him a key player in crucial games against bigger mediocre teams like Spuds. Of course he should play a part in the game, but we can't expect too much of him straight away.

A few games in the Rezzies would do as a start.

Absolutely, if we bring him straight back into the first team, especially in a high profile game, it's just asking for trouble.

Pardon my insolence.

I was typing at work and maybe I was thinking of a few words at once.

I hope i'm forgiven for my utterly disgraceful error.

Just sat here wondering why Frank is being treated so carefully, with Carlo saying a few weeks ago "we need to be sure" etc, when Alex's knee surgery is postponed and JT's back/thigh problem apparently isn't stopping him coming back soon. Many players are playing through pain, why the kid gloves with Frank?

I think it depends on the nature of the injury. Take Alex for instance, he needs an operation but is able to play while waiting for the operation. It's not just a matter of pain either. I'm guessing that in Frank's case bringing him back before they're certain he's ready would risk making matters worse.

Not sure if you've ever tried playing anything with an abductor/groin issue. It's virtually impossible to make any sharp movements like pivoting without some pretty excruciating pain.

Don't think I've ever had a"groin issue" let alone tried playing with one!! :D

I've had a recurring groin issue over the years...getting mine into contact with one of the opposing sex.

"Opposing" is an excellent choice of adjective, Reg!! Lots of confrontational overtones there!

Good point, maybe, I need to seek out more amicable groins.

The sooner Frank and the Bison are back the better, we are lacking their drive from midfield.

Bison should be back for the Everton game, and I think Frank will play some part against Rottenham.
