One of the easiest choices of the season for me. Anelka was magnificent. That was 4-2 going on 8-2. A very dominant performance with only, for me, Essien disappointing.

Anelka, what a legend today and really stepped it up.. Drogba was a bit of a dissapointment as was Essien, but Mikel was dreadful and should never be swaped with Ramires again..

I can't see why Mikel is getting such criticism for his performance today. He wasn't sparkling but Essien was much worse and I would say he was on a par with Lampard.

Anelka for me by miles. Deserved his goal and used the ball really well all night. Someone said it on chat earlier on... give him a go tip of the diamond? (if we go diamond..)

Good game for Kalou (and he started) , Ramires came on with his usual energy but Essien and to an extent Mikel were below par.

Avenged the home fixture and its pleasing we done it without the new signings.
