New Years' Day, 1957. The teams that day were:

United

Wood, Byrne, Foulkes, Jones, Colman, Edwards, Pegg, Berry, Taylor, Violett, and Whelan

Chelsea

Matthews, Sillett,J, Sillett, P, Tindall, Livingstone, Mortimore, Saunders, Blunstone, Brabrook, Gibbs, Nicholas.

United won 3-0 with a brace from Tommy Taylor and one from Liam Whelan.

I remember Peter Brabrook from his West Ham days playing alongside Hurst, Moore, and Peters.

I was sitting in the benches ,around the half way line ,so when flasher scored the first i was almost ,almost right behind it.

I do remember getting it and being in position around 1  o’clock or not long after the gates opened and to this day I remember Concorde flying over before kick off ....

This footage particularly reminds me how we used to also sing you’ll never walk alone...thank fukc we stopped doing that

How many here were in the Shed that day in Jan 1978?

Wasn't there as only 8, but do remember it being our biggest win in my life at the time!
