I understand that Roman wasn't at the match on Sunday. I find that extremely worrying given his past attendence record.

I have no idea what his agenda is for the club, but it seems for certain that either he or Jose will have to depart as the Fulham Road ain't big enough for the both of them. I'm guessing it won't be Abramovich!

Oh thats alright then

I read the "report" By Andy Hunter and apparently "after it emerged" and "Sources have indicated " and "those who know Abramovich well " and "though Mourinho did not mention Shevchenko by name " and "the inference was clear ". Not a direct quote from a named person ANYWHERE!

Also, the fact that "There is nothing happening that would suggest he is not going to be in charge," he said. "We respect the job he has done. We gave him a contract through to 2010. We have made it quite clear we wanted him to be the manager to achieve our long-term goals. We talked this week and he left my office knowing he is committed to Chelsea and we are committed to him. " seems to be ignored by the general thrust of this and all the other stories

Finally, I then followed the link on the same page to the Belfast Telegraph's match report By Andy Hunter, where I was stunned and amazed to see that "although Abramovich was not present to witness this copper-bottomed argument due to business commitments in Russia" How does that fit into the snide rant in the same

I read Roman was on Business in Russia, surely the bloke hasn't got other commitments? it must be that he's so girly he couldn't look Jose in the eye, they are known to be very bad at confrontations the old Russian Mafia boys, icon_wink.gif

only joking Roman you have a day out on the Yacht mate, it was a crap game anyway icon_lol.gif

I'm guessing if Roman was not there, then there is a pefectly valid and non sensational reason why.

Staying in to wash his hair? taking his daughter swimming at the local pool?

I wish I had your faith!

As far as I can recall you can count the number of matches Roman has missed on the fingers of one hand and certainly none as important as this one.

I normally have a bleak outlook on things, but this story has 'idiotic' written all over it. As Yorkley said - wheres the evidence?

Apparantly, sources close to me are saying that after SAF took off Ronaldo yesturday, he stormed down the tunnel, spat on his United shirt, drove to Roman's house and begged till he convinced him to finance a career in the Olympic diving team for him.

No, its true. I got it from my source.

Roman is currently at a tournament being played in Isreal, i think it all kicks off tomorrow. CSKA, Shaktar, Dynamo Moscow and a few others are taking part, and he has apparently put about ?4million of his own cash in to make it happen.

You could probably understand him wanting to be there, however the media will be only too quick to name this as a 'snub'.

Yes, I saw some pictures of Roman when I searched the Getty Images database for pictures from the Nottingham Forest match.

Click here for some of those pics if you're interested.

Weird...the link worked right after I posted it, but now it links you to the latest Chelsea pictures. Ok, just go to sports section of the Getty Images database and type in Abramovich as the searchword, choose In Sport from the upper dropdown menu and choose Last 7 Days from the lower dropdown menu and press Begin Search. That should do it.
