BlueBosnian Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Can we get four (Premiership, League Cup, FA Cup, and Champions League) trophies this year? ::TrOphy::
mad_mac Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 no way i am tempting fate with an answer to this question. However, if we fail to do so, it is entirely your fault for bringing it up in the first place. However, I doubt it
sergeyMS Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 I believe it depends on our players` mentality. I mean if they continue to repeat Cole`s magic tricks then our chances to win something are second to none...
sweet waffle Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Can we can still win all four? I reckon we can but it will be a monumental ask. We've got to hope on no further injuries, players finding continued form (Sheva, Ballack, SWP and Kalou) and key players (JT, Robben and of course Joey) returning and giving us the belief that we can do it. Also Manure have got to slip up at some point. If all these things happen then I think we can do it.
Guest Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 We haven't a hope in haydees (sp?) of winning the quad this season. I think taking home the League cup is a strong possibility, the FA cup is quite possible and the Champions League is a good outside chance that perhaps non-Chelsea fans will overlook too quickly. The Premiership on the other hand I beleive is allready lost. As much as i'd like to see us pip Man Utd at the post, simple fact is, its been their season. Everything has gone fantastically for them this season. Their players are playing out of their skins, injuries have been minor and they seem to have struck a good team balance all of these things Chelsea have not succeeded in doing thus far this season (at least in the premiership setting).
The Moos Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 We haven't a hope in haydees (sp?) of winning the quad this season. Hades, quite simple really. He was the son of Cronus and Rhea. He had two brothers, Poseidon and Zeus. The three brothers divided the world between them: Zeus took the upperworld, Poseidon the sea and Hades the underworld. Hades ruled the underworld together with Persephone for some time after he had kidnapped her from the upperworld. Zeus told him to send her back. He did, but the gave her a pomegranate (some stupid fruit I think) which she ate and became bound to the underworld forever. Apparently Hades is the least liked god. I wonder why

If my memory serves me well, Persephone had to stay in the underworld, each year, for the number of months corresponding to the number of pomegranate seeds she ate. I think she ate 4 seeds, which accounts for the winter months.

But after reading your post I looked up some other pages on the internet and apparently there's different version of the story. Some say she had to stay forever but most seem to say that she had to stay a month every year for each seed she ate. There's also different oppinions about how many seeds. Some say three, some four and some six. I would say that the theory with the seeds sounds more like greek mythology. They usually have some pretty weird stories

Phillip Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Cant see the Mankers dropping 7 points but at least weve got a better chance than Liver yank of winning the European, League and the FA cups Oh, I can easily see the Mankers dropping 7 points, but I certainly cannot see us dropping no points.
