would have liked Luiz to have got players' player as Mata was always going to get fans vote and I think it's good to share it around a bit...plus Luiz has been an increasing force on and off the pitch

Why wasn't the awards ceremony live on Chelsea TV as with every other year?

 

I can only assume the higher up's were fearful of fan behavior towards Rafa and maybe some form of protest?

 

Luiz is my POTY but no real complaints.

Mata was always guaranteed player of year after the wonderful performances he put in. I thought Hazard would have got P.P.O.T.Y as he has been exceptional also in my opinion.

shame Chelsea tv decided not to show it properly like they usually do...they have very little decent stuff on most of time and player of the year is always good fun...what's the deal? just tuned in to watch a lame interview by Gigi with Mata....not one original question...just the usual 'it's great isn't it', voted by the fans etc...same as she asked him last year

No one's won it 3 years on the trot, Super Frank and I think Ray Wilkins have won it 3 times in total. Not sure about Wilkins though.

my favourite goals this season were Demba Ba against United, Ivanovic against Benfica and Lampard second against Villa but in terms of quality i would agree that Oscar is a deserved winner. I also agree Mata deserves both awards and haven't seen a lot of Nathan Ake but in my view our best young players (Chalobah,Courtois, Lukaku and McEachran) are out on loan and therefore ineligible for the award
