I wonder if we'll get anything for him? Considering his contract isn't actually running out until the summer.

5£ million maybe?

He's on good pay though so good to free up some space for wages.

Agreed to let him go on a free apparently

Will be sad to see him go. There's only one Mikel John Obi. Obi Mikel John. John Obi Mikel.

The African Zidane, thanks for all the memories.

And to the majority of our rivals out there:

'He's won more than you, he's won more than youuu, John Obi Mikel, he's won more than you!'

Surely with Oscar and Mikel gone we're in a market for another midfielder. My bet is we're going after Franck Kessie (Atalanta). I have a feeling Conte wants Bakayoko but Monaco is still in the CL and the January deal is near impossible to pull off, so Kessie is probably an easier target.

I cant bring myself to say BYE to him. This is his home. I know he isn't happy leaving but that's life.
And it's incredible how Conte never gave him a chance on the bench to say bye to the fans. Well, Conte always knows best.

I was never his biggest fan; found him frustrating the amount of times he came on to kill off games then we conceded, however he was a Chelsea player, a decent servant to the club and got my support as best I could.

I wish him all the very best for the remainder of his career.

Mikel is like a five pound note. Doing the dirty work, keeping it all going while the other's get driven around in armoured vehicles getting all the attention.

Wish you all the best Sir Obi, we will never forget the day you snubbed United for us ;)
