shammy feen Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Will it be behind closed doors after the big fight in their match against Inter? Maybe we will be given a BYE in to the semis by Uefa...

coombsie Posted March 9, 2007 Author Posted March 9, 2007 So its the Scousers (AGAIN) in the semis !!!! Vengence is mine etc etc........................................
Maksimov Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Semi-finals Chelsea or Valencia v PSV Eindhoven v Liverpool Roma or Manchester United v Milan or Bayern Munich If we can beat Valencia, we'll get the Scousers in the semi-finals unless PSV can pull off another surprise. Well, no need to speculate...we'll see how it goes if we get there. Would've loved to see us play the 1st leg away like the other English clubs. There's a lot of tough games left to play, but I noticed that there is a possibility of non-G14 final if we and Roma can go all the way. Can they afford to allow it to happen?
loz Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I am happy enough with the draw. Yes PSV or Roma would have been better draws but I think we are good enough to beat Valencia. They are having a decent season in La Liga however that is as much to with Barca and Real faltering as it is Valencia being a particularly strong outfit. They have dropped a lot of points domestically and their recent form has been patchy. Not saying it is an easy draw, but it is a team we should be good enough to beat and have to expect to be able to beat if we truly think we are good enough to win the tournament. Maybe we will see Del No No back at the Bridge!

The Brit Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Maybe we will see Del No No back at the Bridge! I bet he plays a blinder
ossie13 Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Maybe we will see Del No No back at the Bridge! I bet he plays a blinder Unfortunately there's always a first time for everything
sergeyMS Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Now when draw is finished and Valencia gets Chelsea as an opponent, their players will receive minimal charges for brawl against Inter, I have a feeling.
Guest Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 well: Valencia have been plagued by injuries this season with Carlos Marchena, David Albelda, Emiliano Moretti, Jaime Gavilan, Mario Regueiro and Edu all suffering from long-term injury problems. plus: Carlos Marchena and Navarro of Valencia and Burdisso have been charged with gross unsporting conduct, Uefa added. all good for us
The Moos Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I think the game at the bridge will be the most important. Valencia is really good at home and they proved that against Inter. If we lose at home against them then it will be very difficult for us to reach the semi-finals. I think we will beat Valencia at the bridge and then manage a draw away in Spain. But if they get some players suspended and have to play without an audience because of the fight then I think we will win away too. So it will be Scousers in the semi-finals. Time for revenge! Btw. If PSV knock out Pool and we face them what will happen with Alex? Can he play against us?
undertow Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Btw. If PSV knock out Pool and we face them what will happen with Alex? Can he play against us? yes. he's owned by psv, we have an option to buy him.
loz Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Even if it was just a loan deal he would be allowed to play just as Morientes did against Real Madrid.
BackInBlue Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Even if it was just a loan deal he would be allowed to play just as Morientes did against Real Madrid. I think RM allowed Morientes to play after Monaco asked them, I don't think we are that stupid to do that.
