I'm loving the idea of a 48 country World Cup, England are guaranteed a route to the knockouts basically, If we can hold a Panama or Haiti to a 0-0 and then beat Tonga or Afghanistan 1-0 we're through.

Mind you, Getting beat by Iceland will feel like losing 2-1 to fat Ronaldo's Brazil compared to if we were to get beat by an East Timor or the Solomon Islands, How drunk would you have to get to drown your sorrows after a defeat like that?  That would be worse than a full strength Chelsea/City/United side getting beat at home to an Isthmian league side. :laugh2:

It's gonna get watered down like the Euros did after the expansion. Too many matches that neutrals couldn't give a toss for and very few top matches.

I agree, I was being sarcastic, It's clearly done by some under the table Chinese Super League money or maybe some rich Indian businessman coming up with the idea, It's a way of getting those two huge nations into the tournament to then milk both of those respected populations for money generated through the buzz of being involved, It's all money related, They could give a f-ck about spreading it across the world, That Bald Italian is just a younger version of Blatter, No different.

Exactly. FIFA are clearly desperate to tap into the Chinese and Indian market. All of their collective dreams will come true should they both qualify for the World Cup

Mata...sigh...sold by Jose cos he thought Oscar was a better player and now Jose is reaping the benefits for his poor decision at Utd...at least we made a lot of money out of both players being sold...but still

Seeing Mata in a Utd kit will never not piss me off

We will find out a lot about this United side on Sunday against Liverpool, Aside from scraping a 1-0 against Spurs at home their winning streak is against lower sides, Say what you want about Klopp but he has a great big game pedigree. Beaten us, Chelsea, Arsenal and drew away to Spurs. If United get beat, They are who we thought they were, If they beat Liverpool then all of a sudden they will feel like title contenders.

Jose telling Utd fans they have to do better...sound familiar anyone? Funny how he wasn't moaning about their support when he was doing sh*t...now he's won a few games in a row, he's saying they're not being loud enough...

 @ Liverpool. There's only one thing worse than getting knocked out of the FA cup - getting a replay. Kloop won't be fielding the kids in the return leg.

Apparently he said that he will be fielding the kids in the replay.

Well if you saw our game vs Arsenal you saw that we totally dominated that game. The sad part and what have been our problem this season is to kill games off. We should've beaten Arsenal by 5-0, but instead they were clinical in their only chance. But Liverpool isn't going to be an easy game... I hate to say it, but they do look dangerous this season.

With 16 additional spots for the future WC, no one will give a damn about the qualifiers, and plenty of cheap caps will be given to mediocre players. The group match will be a glorified qualifiers, as the 2 bigger teams only need to beat the newbie to qualify to the next round. Imagine a group of Spain, Costa Rico and Fiji.

I think Mourinho Jr. will have a good surprise for them in the return leg

What, is he going to be able to sign 11 players before then?

Looks like Mourinho has finally realised his mistake in letting Mata go back in 2014. That should be Oscar wearing the No.8 for Utd.

Paul Merson and Phil Thompson showing their punditry chops with idiotic comments re Marco Silva.

"It’s totally astonishing that they have plumped for someone like this. It’s baffling. When there are a lot of people out there who know about the Premier League, about what’s required to dig in. He’s not got a clue."

Astoundingly ignorant.

Paul Merson should stick to binge drinking and snorting Charlie. Prople on here called Ray Wilkins a degenerate. Merson and Parlour make him look like a vicar.
