erskblue
Boyne: This was a Scotland squad that travelled to Rio De Janiero in July 1972 for a tournament! The Independence Tournament. In their group, Scotland faced Brazil, Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. They’d face the Czechs in their 1974 World Cup Qualifying Group. Then face both Brazil and Yugoslavia in their actual World Cup Group in West Germany in zJune 1974! Had to look up the squad as I didn’t recognise a few of the players either.
