What a f*cking game at SB. The ref was an absolute joke, sorry I know many think the reds were justified, but we'll need to agree to disagree. If you send Cahill off and show our players yellow for almost f*ck all, you do the same to the opponent. And it never went both sides. Few times in my life I have seen such a biased refereeing, and the whole stadium reminded the ref of what a w*nker he has been. Rudigers yellow? That was just the cherry on the cake. The FA should ashamed, but they haven't shame at all.

On the positive, I liked Christensen, Rudiger an Morata. Why didn't he come on at half time for Bats?? Shame the c*nt of the ref didn't give us time to see Boga.

The only thing the ref did well was to wind us up so the atmosphere was great.

Listen it's the start of the season, first game, champions at home, 13 mins in...if there is any oportunity not to give a red you don't f**king give it, use sense you twat would be my assessment

Shocking reffing out there today - out on the left a burnley player went over the ball on alonso - yellow.  

 

Its as if the entire offseason was spent by the refs learning how to screw us over. 

Morata looks like a beast guys, first I saw of him for Chelsea today. But I like what I saw. Going to look promising when we have our full squad. Also the ref is an arse

But I take your point. A stupid lunge from Cahill. The worrying thing was how quickly we fell apart defensively in the 1st half without him there. Luiz defended as consistently badly as at any point during his first spell with us, still doesn't do marking, not proper marking, as evidenced by Burnley's 1st and 3rd goals. And Curtois looked very hesitant. I agree with most of the rest of your post too.

The ref had no consistency with his decisions and therefore seemed like he had an agenda. A yellow card for clapping? Is he going to enforce that in every game? Bet he don't. And the foul against Rudiger near the end appeared to be given just to break up our forward momentum at that time. Very poor but nothing we haven't experienced before.

The positives out-weigh the negatives for me. Morata showed in 30 minutes he has the potential to be the bomb. Forget Costa. That pantomimes over and hopefully he goes next week.

We showed real character 2nd half spurred on by a truly magnificent home support. I tell you now, if it that was Liverpool, Le Arse, Tottenham, United 0-3 and a man down in the first 45 minutes, at home, against Burnley, you would have been able to hear a pin drop in their grounds. Our crowd's support at 0-3 was superb and the team responded splendidly.

Yes we need reinforcements. That should have been done and dusted already and I hope Roman and the board don't f**k Conte over the way they did Jose two seasons ago. We don't need many IMO, but we do need some extra quality to give us more depth.

To sum up; disappointing 1st half, encouraging 2nd half in the face of huge adversity. Early days. Back Conte with the resources he needs and it will be onwards and upwards.

Don't disagree, but Chelsea's movement was a non existent at times,  all very static. 

I don't know if anybody has referred to Ashley Barnes tackle on Matic two or three seasons ago. Please see video below:

I think the term is subpar. Maybe it is just semantics but the referee single handedly destroyed any chance Chelsea had to win the game. I was not even expecting us to score 2 goals and were an unlucky off-side from equalising. Heck, just for that alone I find it hard to say that we were poor.

If not for the referee we should have won. But Burnley scored the goals and they won, so fair play to them. 

This little c**t Pawson was quite confident with his decisions, wasn't he? Isn't that strange for you guys. Its not about making a mistake, its about a piece of wondering, hesitation, consultations with the colleagues. He did none of this. This f*** sh** was on mission.

Because some of the senior players lost their composure and discipline, starting taking the piss out of the referee i.e Fabregas's needless first yellow. Even down to ten men, we were well capable of beating this mob but we became disorganised and too cavalier in our approach. Morata is light years ahead of Batshuiyi in movement, control and intelligence and should start every game from now on. Use Batshuiyi as an impact sub. which seems to suit him.

So who is eligible to play v Spurs?  I'm losing count of the injured and the banned.

I actually think we'll be able to field a decent team, other than having to use a defender in midfield but the bench is going to be comical against them.

To Emenalo or whoever is in charge of transfers in and out: You suck.  Everyone has seen this coming.  You've sold and loaned out with total disregard to what the team needs and what Conte has requested.  Why?  To show Conte you're in charge?  You're a w**ker.  We have been substantially weakened this summer.  Again, EVERYONE with any sense has seen this coming.  Why do we have to take a huge step backwards instead of building on the momentum we had going?  Why do we wait so long to bring players in - even if we buy 3-4 players - we're going to be short handed until October.  We need a winger, a defensive midfielder and another striker.... we've known this for months, but instead you've loaned out numerous players that would give us the appropriate cover.  I will not be surprised if you further gut the squad rather than strengthen it over the next few weeks.   

To Gary Cahill:  Thank you for your service, being a crucial part of that night in Munich and for captaining us on the field last season.  However, you should only start League Cup matches going forward.  

To Alvaro Morata:  You're the real deal.  Stay healthy and hopefully Pedro and Hazard will be back soon to support.  

To Antonio Conte:  I hope you're given the power you deserve, but I fully expect you to be gone next summer, if not sooner.  

To Michy:  You're going to be needed off the bench this season, so please keep working hard.   

To Spuds:  Please take it easy on us next weekend.  We need to somehow stay afloat until October, hopefully the PL season won't be lost by then.  And by lost, I mean any chance at the top 4.  

These thoughts aren't just about the result today, although frustrating - and the ref's a w**ker too - it's more about where we're headed over the next 6 weeks or so.  We don't have a viable midfielder available to start next week!  How is that possible?  

Morata and a soon to be different starting back line give me hope.  COYB - get it sorted while there's time!
