Good.

Here’s Lampards interview with BT after Hull.

https://twitter.com/btsportfootball/status/1221161373352243200?s=19

Starts talking about recruitment and transfers from about 3 minutes in and he’s clearly quite desperate for additions for the short term so we can push for top 4 as he puts it.

It’s not good at all if the club can’t support the manager with anything at all. Our main rivals have all strengthened and chances are that we’ll get caught if we don’t do the same.

For the last few years pretty much everyone has complained about us just signing any old player with seemingly no plan, no forward thinking, just grabbing players who are available and it causing us problems. Pretty much everyone said they would rather we actually wait for the right players, which is what Liverpool did, as is often pointed out. Now we are actually seemingly doing that people are losing there sh*t, as expected. Same as the "play the young players" mob, once we started losing a few games. Its pathetic.

As we should as spending north of £300 million on the dross we have brought in is quite pathetic.

If there was any sign of a long term plan being implemented i am sure Lampard would be more forgiving himself of the club not getting anyone in January but i don't see it myself.

And who's to say the right player isn't available? Everyone thought Liverpool were silly for "wasting" all that money on Van Dijk in january. And he changed everything for them.

If we had a plan surely we could have signed someone this window though? We've had all summer off to devise a plan, why even bother overturning the ban if we aren't going to utilise it?

The lack of movement looks more like we have a lack of plan, than a well thought out strategy to get the right players.

In fact, this transfer window is reminiscent of the last few years at Chelsea.

Good point. Everyone knew seven months ago that we would be thin in certain areas come january.

And once again we are in the typical Chelsea-situation where we are scrambling to make signings on deadline-day. It's just pure incompetence.

The same people who's responsible for wasting all the money previously are still in charge and nothing has changed.

If we have a plan then those players need to be available, rarely will that level of player be available for a January transfer.

90% of transfers are spoke about in public before weeks before they happen.

People knew Liverpool wanted Van Dijk 6 months before he ended up there. We knew we were after Costa when we were still playing him and Atletico in the Champions League.

There's been no positive rumours for Chelsea in a long time. Chilwell in summer maybe the only real one.

Lamps is in the press saying he wants a striker and very little has been done to help him from what it looks like from the outside.

Let hope Chelsea are doing something behind the scenes and backs Lamps properly, guess we'll see in summer.

Napoli have rejected an 8 million offer for Mertens. They said we could have him for that if we loaned him back to them until the summer. We refused.
This is according to Di Marzio and italian media.

This highlights the issue with leaving it late. His contract is running out but they can't sell him at this point they can't replace him before the window close.

Had we contacted them january 1st i wouldn't be surprised if a deal could have been struck.

Wouldn't be surprised if we pay 12m.

And when they didnt get him they waited, rather than bring in the wrong player. Its exactly the same as the situation we are in now surely. Everyone is sick of the sticky plaster players we keep bringing in, the ones to fill in for now as a squad player. We need starters of the highest quality, and they rarely move during this window simply because of the importance to their club.

It reminds me of the time people wanted ruthless action taken against Lampard when he was supposedly derailing AVB, fast forward to Christmas reports were coming out Frank wasn't going to be offered a new contract and all of a sudden they don't want that anymore and it's a disgrace the club are even thinking about it.

Roman is in charge. Yes he’s really incompetent and wasteful. Couldn’t run a welk stall.

Apart from Bakayoko and to an extent Rudi I don't think any of ours have been public weeks/months in advance ever since Costa and Luis.

Pedro, Jorginho, Kepa, Kova, Emerson, Giroud, Kante, Alonso and Luiz were all done within days of the links initially hotting up, in the former twos cases it also looked dead set they were heading to Manchester.

Marina Granovskaia is running the club.

Is she bollox.

RA “ Why did you not consult me before buying Kepa. I only found out about it in the Sun”

MG “ Because if got f**k all to do with you. Piss off back to your yacht you rich turd”

Oh don't be silly.

Obviously they communicate but Marina is running the club for all intents and purposes. Roman signs off on deals but he's not the one who decides who to buy or not buy.
This is from 2014 and she's only gotten more powerful since.

She is basically the power at Chelsea. Roman trusts her implicitly. She’s not interested in being a celebrity but there is no doubt who’s in charge and who call the shots.

She's running the club like Woodward is running United.
