Hull v Chelsea (FA) Sat 25th Jan 17:30 GMT

Recommended Posts

Would love to see us mix the squad up but also get the win. Hull sitting bang in the middle of the league so not sure what they are playing for.

Team i'd play would be                                                                                 Willy

                                                                                            Lamptey    Tomori   Christensen   Maatsen

                                                                                                          Gilmour            Barkley

                                                                                               Pedro              Mount                  CHO

                                                                                                                        Bats

Bench: Cumming, Zouma, Jorginho, Anjorin, Giroud, James, Broja

Maybe look at Brown/Mceachran

They will be playing to overturn those fancy-dan, soft, southern millionaires and cause a cup upset.

Mostly by agricultural tactics, thuggery and running about a f**k of a lot.

(Oh, and every pundit, media outlet and non-Chelsea fan will be willing them on, desperately hoping  for  a shock)

You know it would be good to see what Cummings is like. Mayne we have someone who can replace Kepa on our squad already.

I also read Alonso is still injured so hopefully it is Maatsen in at LB.

I'm probably the most conservative so far yet would prefer not to have a replay.

                                 Willy

     Lamptey   Zouma   Tomori   Maatsen

                          Kante

              Pedro             Barkley

   Willian            Giroud           CHO

If they've scouted us at all, they will know to sit back and defend deep and hit us on the counter and set pieces. Let's hope we can break them down.

I'd probably go something like:

Cabellero

Alonso
Tomori (If fit) / Zouma
Christensen
James (If fit) / Lampety

Kante
Barkley
Mount

Hudson-Odoi
Batshayui
Pulisic (If fit) / Pedro

Agreed, just like Newport equalising v Spuds last year

Yes I would agree that was an enjoyable one too.

I remember the radio commentary returning from Bristol City thumping us 3-1 in 1990 in our first season back in Division 1 and being described as the giants of Division one that made a lot of us laugh out loud on the coach.

Hope Frank picks a strong team not a bunch of kids as some suggest above, its away from home, up north cold (8 c)and a Cup match so an upset is always likely.  Would be fun to have a cup run so hopefully we can see Barkley, Bats, Alonso & Pedro included

             Big Willy

Lamptey  Zouma Tomori Alonso

 Barkley   Gilmour   Kova

       Pedro   Bats   CHO

Its going to be gritty, they will make it a slog under the lights up North but I am confident we will have too much.

Massive competition for us as always - would love to see us win it, along with top 4 is a decent season all things considered IMO. Lets go for it
