Chelsea Women

Recommended Posts

Can't see any prominent topics on here about our ladies, does anyone know if there is a rule against women playing in the men's teams because I just watched Chelsea women destroy city women 3-1 and the defence looks tougher to beat then the current lot we have on the men's team...I just think get a feisty bird in there and it might sure up our defence a bit. All the fellas around her will know not to argue with her so she will, if nothing else give us discipline

Might  sorry not might but i will upset many with my view on womens football > i have inspiration to watch womens football what so ever as its pure dog poo and how the american ladys team demand equal pay to what the mens team Get is shocking to say the least for obvious reasons with main one been there just not enough interest in people wanting to go throu the pain of watching it .

we seem to now be having women getting on MoTD as commentors on premeirship games > it sounds terrible trying to listen to a squeaky ladys Voice commentating on a mans game > i will turn over straight away . Same with women now in the studio and giving comments on premeirship games > it just dont sit right with me and turns me off straight away .

for sure i will take notice of the chelsea womens results and thats about as far as it goes as i would never waste my time watching it .

That women captian of the american  womens team with the purpleish  hair really winds me up the wrong way ,she should not use her football talent as a platform to push her personally views  which goes for men aswell

Mate I know what you mean with the commentators. I have to switch off everytime I hear a women commentating and don't get me started on that little tea celebration that the bitch bitches of the states did against us...where was the crowd of racism then? Bit wouldn't it throw anyone of attacking against a woman... I think any women CB would he like Carvaliho winning free kicks when they shouldn't normally be free kicks and stuff like that but mostly I'm just curious about the rules

In case anyone needs pointers when assessing a statement is sexist: replace 'woman' (or 'women') with 'black', 'jew' or 'gay' and you'll know. Replace 'bitch' with 'n*gger', 'k*ke' or 'p**f'  and you'll know it's toxic.

You actually understood these posts? Your English must be better than mine!

I tend to catch our games when they’re on TV, there’s less physicality and the game is a bit slower (women’s football development is years/decades behind men’s football because sexism) but I’ve enjoyed them a lot more than watching our men’s team the last two seasons!

I wish we’d had Beth England over 95% of our strikers we’ve had in the men’s team lately!

No matter what way you call  them women ,woman ,ladys ,ladies girls, females ,jente, damme, when you follow the pre text with football you will allways come to the exact same assumuption > its sshhiittee and at times comical to watch . The only reason why female football has a foothold in todays sporting calenders is due to Political Correctness aka PC as its starting to Get rammed down our throats which is wrong on all fronts due to the PC outlook .

the mans game at national League NORTH and SOUTH is at a far lower  standard for obvious reasons ,but there are far more fans paying at the gate week in week out at any of those League games than any womens League football today ,so why dont we have live NORTH/SOUTH national League games on the TV or Even players from the national League sat in MOTD ,sky sports ,bt sports or England games Match day studios ? Because their standard of play is far lower than the mans/ mens ,gezzers ,fellas, gents, Lads professional game .

Yes my english is shocking but iam not going to bendover if some lightweights Get offended

  • 2 weeks later...

When I saw this thread I expected several photos of girlfriends in CFC shirts or wearing other club clothing.

However it is obviously about the game played by women.

I'm curious to see how this will evolve as it is heavily in the shadow of the men's game.

Nothing against it in principle yet is it self supporting or supported by the parent club driven by the men's game revenue?.

It's 50-50 I think. The money and facilities come from the main Chelsea club but the womens league is self sufficient. People just care more about the mens teams but you can argue that more money can ruin some charms in a sport too...

1) What other obvious reasons besides the completely baseless one you list?

2) Have you ever watched the USA Men's national team? Have you actually watched the USWNT? the mens team couldn't qualify out of CONCACAF (pathetic) and the women have won 2 consecutive WCs. Is the level of competition the same? No, but the womens game is growing exponentially, but there is no reason to believe that the womens game could be on a similar level; especially when it comes to the WC. All you have to do is look at the quality of football at the last world cup. France, England, Germany, Netherlands, USA all played really well and played high quality football.

FWIW, I think the USMNT is coming along nicely. If the younger players that are coming through Europe can gel on the national level, they might be somewhat of a threat. Not to win the WC type of threat, need a few more players of Pulisic's ilk, but a team that will be a tough out and can make a decent run in the knockout stages. But, international football is tricky and it doesn't always pan out.

The female commentators and pundits are so much better than listening to Gary Lineker and his mate Alan Shearer.

Jackie Oatley would be an excellent replacement for Lineker.

I try and watch the Chelsea Ladies team whenever it's on TV and they have a great team and the standard of football in the Women's Super League is getting better every season IMO.

Like said earlier women are decades behind men in terms of progress so it won't all be top notch standard overnight.

There are a lot of very good players in the league and are attracting better players from all around the world, and while I realize it's not everyone's cup of tea I actually enjoy the matches.

As far as female commentators and female studio guests are concerned, they are some decent ones and give just as valid points and in some cases better than some of the male studio guests.

Anything the breaks the current TV system that they immediately look to employ all ex Liverpool or ex Man Utd players is fine by me.

Some are fantastic, most are decent and there are a handful that make me want to walk into traffic. This applies for all genders.
