Don’t think Pep will indulge Haaland for too long though as he is a board signing. He also has an exit clause for 2024, so if Alvarez hits the ground running he will send Haaland to the bench.

From what I've seen (all be it little) and read about Alvarez he's the one I'm really worried about.

He sounds like the forward Pep would make in a lab.

So far Haaland hasn’t shown anything for City, he’s been mostly anonymous and the City attack is nowhere near as fluid as it was last season. It could be down to preseason or Haaland taking away one player from the build up that City did. Let’s also not forget how pants Grealish continues to be for City. The annoying thing is that I can see Liverpool winning the shield, but they’ll have a good shout at the PL.

I'm scared of him too, his nickname is "little spider" cause it looks like he has more than 2 feet + you know the Argentinian mentality, he'll smell the blood miles away and he'll have no mercy...

Grealish has never been anything but overrated.

"oh, but he was once the most fouled player in the league"........and? Hazard was that once, but Hazard was also a constant attacking threat. I never see Grealish run at a fall back, I never see him dribble. All he seems to do is wait on the wing and play it back 10 yards when he receives the ball. Oh, but he has sh*t hair, wears low socks and takes a dive a few times every game, so he must be amazing.

Why can’t we sign a decent striker? These two don’t seem to struggle. Ok, people will giggle at Haaland hitting the bar, but his anticipation and speed of reaction were something we haven’t seen since Drogba. And that Alvarez looks sharp too. Darwin Nunez also showed plenty in that game that he’ll not struggle to bag plenty of goals this year.

Still, we’ve improved with City’s cast off as non of our other players have the skill to get the ball kicked into their face to score a goal.

Nūnez celebrating like he won a significant trophy lol

Wouldn't mind seeing that kind of passion from some of our lot to be honest, imagine how he will react when he scores in bigger games. Ziyech scores a worldie against Tottenham and you can barely get a smile out of him.
