We desperately need a striker. A proven finisher. A focal point for our attack. Who would you like?

@Drogba1 would like option 8. @Argoas we all know would love option 9. I obviously would go for option 10. @dkw would go for option 5 and it's doable if Klopp gets Mason Mount in return.

Or we could sell all the rest of our players and go for Kylian Mbappe.

Your choice.

Can PL proven even be a thing for us anymore given our recent disastrous attempts at buying players (and a manager) with a track record in this league?

For me first and foremost the main attribute has to be system proven, that's what we got with Enzo. Who? I don't know, but the most important thing is we don't do what we did in 2021 and just panic and look at the top line without factoring stylistic fit. Play Nkunku in a 'Firmino' role (or maybe even as a left field option approach the Brazillian himself as a short term fix if he's willing to play for another PL team) and wait for the right player to fall into our lap no matter what the short term cost, and who knows maybe Nkunku will smash the role meaning we don't need a new forward.

In all seriousness, I'd probably go for Kane. Like Drogba he is a complete striker. There ain't much he can't do.

I'd also be well happy with Toney or Jesus. Totally different strikers but both look the part.

I wouldn’t go for Toney, he screams as big fish in small pond type of player, like Zaha.

I don’t know why but Vlahovic tickles my fancy. A big strong Serbian striker, no nonsense, lethal and does the job. He could be cheap considering Juventus situation.

If we get him for cheap, even if he doesn’t live up to his name he’d still be a very handy back up.

Given how many seem to think reappointing Jose in 2023 is a good idea it wouldn't surprise me if we get multiple votes for Drogba unironically aswell.

Dwight Gayle. With our FFP status, we need to be realistic.

Broja looks a good option. Once fully recovered, he deserves a shot. I don't trust this club with buying players anymore.

Bring back Lukaku, a proven PL striker we already own and, as @Argopointed out previously, a stand up guy, Chelsea through and through with a great attitude.

Could be on the cards  Buried another penalty last night. We have been looking for a proven penalty taker since Jorginho left.

Who ? Cucu ? Who else have we bought recently from the prem who has been disastrous, struggling to think of any.

We wont be dealing with Spuds so forget him.

Not wrong Coco. Levy has always refused to do business with us. He understands the Tottenham/Chelsea hatred. Fair play to him. The bald, dwarf, trophy less cu* t

There's no stand-out option really. People like Kane won't be sold to us. Salah is starting to decline. Osimein or whatever it is is linked to Bayern and i'm sure he'd prefer that move. We'll probably end up just giving Lukaku another go, since we've already spent the money on him.

Not nesseserily directly from the prem but we've signed Sterling, Auba and Lukaku who all to varying degrees had a proven track record in the division. I do think Sterling could come good but as of now he's not been great.

Unless I've forgot someone obvious the only true success story out of players with a previous proven in this league in recent times is Chilwell (I'm next to sure Fofana will follow but still too early at this point to say for definite).

I don't think Chupo Motings actually good I said Nagelsmann is a good manager for getting goals out of him 😂

They cant be compared to buying Toney though, he's only 26 and scoring at a decent rate against teams who we will also be playing against.

Honestly on paper Harry Kane is the best of the bunch.

Scores goals for fun (in some poor Tottenham teams) and has great link up play. He is old, but his style of play tends to age very well, similar to Lewandowski. And I'm pretty sure he'll do everything to leave Spurs at this rate.

Though I know Mourinho recently said that Osimhen is on a similar level to Drogba, and he was the guy that discovered Drogba in the first place. I think he'd be my first choice if we can afford him.
