Need to be shipping Mudryk and Madueke out ASAP. Neither will suit a keep ball team, especially Mudryk.

We're not selling anyone who doesn't make us a profit.

Sky reporting Leicester have , with giddiness, accepted our request to speak to Enzo Maresca.

They offered to pay for the finest restaurant in Leicster for the talks but Yes man 1 and yes man 1 are flying off to marbaya instead.

I am trying to look at the positives.

Over the past 3 years, I have witnessed some of the most boring football on earth. Sarri, Tuchel, Lamps, Potter and Poch all failed to excite, and played at times the most boring, eye bleedingly dull football I have ever had the displeasure of watching.

This guy, however bad he may be, cannot play any worse than what we have seen. Go and watch the game against Forest from the end of the season. f**k me it was bad.... This guy can't do any worse than that. I don't believe it is possible.

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee he can do any better either..... but let's see.

How does this have anything to do with being spoilt? We have watched these owners bumble their way from one mistake the next since they arrived, you can't blame fans for reacting the way they do.

I have been sick of the state of our football since Sarri was appointed and instead of moving away from it, we continue to double down on it. I would rather lose playing exciting football than boring tiki taka sh*te that has us playing back to the keeper multiple times per attack. It's all so robotic, with every player playing exactly the same way and little room for individuals to show their talent. Football is supposed to be exciting, but I see nothing exciting about this brand of football.

You might be taking the comment a little more personally than is warranted. I’m talking about the posts as a whole as opposed to any individual. More than half of these comments would have been posted whether it was McKenna, RDZ, Frank or even Xavi for that matter. That’s endemic of how spoilt the fan base have become. Never happy, always negative. What happened to cheer us on through the sun and rain. What happened to getting behind the manager and being the 12th man? Because all I can see is a thread with 90% of messages throwing hate on a manager who hasn’t even signed yet, has had zero opportunity to stake his claim and all that breeds is people looking for any flaw to fulfill their own confirmation bias who’ll end up jumping down his throat 2 minutes into his career. How can anyone succeed with that kind of mentality from their fan base, it’s the sheer definition of toxicity. The media do enough of that without us adding to the circus.

I think most of the frustration is with the owners and directors who to this point haven't been convincing. Maybe this will prove to be a fantastic appointment but on the face of it, they've gone with someone who's completely untested at PL or top flight European level when we all want to see the club push on from this season and be consistently competitive again.

Genuine question though to the people who are fuming about this appointment, who would would you have appointed? Because it seems like every name that was mentioned in this process has been a no, but unless we re-appoint a manager we've already had before the options are very slim.

Eddie Howe.

I fully understand the frustration and where it comes from. In my original message I make clear I’m not happy with the potential appointment.

My point is about how people are going on about it. Of course fans should voice their discontent. But as I’ve said some of these posts are ridiculous. I’m sure a lot of it is a defense mechanism so that fans can say “I told you this would be a disaster” when/if ends up that way but it all just becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. We have to believe, we have to have faith. We have to get behind our club. Without it we’re doomed before we start, regardless of who’s in charge.

Can't disagree with any of that.

What I would really like is for Winstanley & Stewart to call a Televised press conference and explain the following in full;

Why they decided to let Poch leave or why they sacked him? Why they picked the FOUR names on the shortlist, What made them ultimately choose Maresca, What are the targets set for Maresca for the 2024/25 Season and what is the bare minimum the Owners will tolerate from him? What do they honestly think of their own personal performances so far In Chelsea's employ and do they truly believe that they have done a good job.

Will it happen? will it f**k, but these two charlatans OWE it to the milliions of Chelsea fans to provide the answers, its the bloody least they can do, before commencing their next self destructing experiment. If they were to answer the above questions honestly, they would be out of a job within 24 hours.

The thing that is baffling is that even if Maresca does come good eventually, he will certainly not hit the ground running. He'll need at the very least a full season to process being in charge of a PL team, let alone have the players buy into his style. That would have been fine if he was the first appointment under the new regime, he'd be entering year 3 now. This board has proved that patience is not their thing, despite all the things they say about a project. He will not be given time.

On the up side, when all of this goes inevitably pear shaped in a few months, hopefully it will spell the end of our inept sporting directors.

I'm expecting him to hit the ground running. If the descriptions of his football is correct, he shouldn't have a problem building on what Poch started. I'm not lowering my expectations for another "rebuild" season. Next season should be nothing less than Champions league. If he doesn't get it then he should be sacked.

Some clarity on his alleged fued in wanting more control.

So basically no involvement. Like Tuchel. Which they sacked for?

To be fair, they wanted Tuchel's involvement because the club had no backroom at that time, I imagine overtime they would have relieved Tuchel of backroom duties. Now that they have sporting directors etc. they probably want a more Tuchel style manager who doesn't care about anything beyond the pitch.

I cooled on Mckennie the moment it became clear he was holding out for United, and I suspect that's why we "dropped" our interest.

I'm not negative on Enzo, I think Poch for one more year would have been a better move, but Enzo is a better choice than de zerbi who I think would have massively crumbled here.

I'm sure come the new season we will all be behind the new coach 100%. Right now my frustration of us replacing Poch, who was just starting to look to be getting things on the right track, and replacing him with a relatively unknown - it's beyond frustrating. It's baffling to put it mildly.

Only time will tell........................

Amorim was the outstanding candidate for me. Not a big fan of a back 3, although I'm not sure he is totally married to that, seems adaptable.

Abel Ferriera fron Palmeirsas also wouldve been a really interesting appointment, already won loads, and with "Messinho" coming in January, couldve been a nice link up.

Marcelo Gallardo, again massively successful in south America,  has worked with Enzo, seems an interesting young manager.

Xavi, won la Liga with an excellent defensive record.

Michel, done a great job at Girona, promotion, and then champions league finish.

That is just some of the coaches that are more qualified than Maresca, and that is without touching any big hitters.

Last season we also had Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, Flick, Slot, etc available.

How we have ended up with Maresca is truelly baffling.

Based on the managerial shortlist (and all the appointments since the new owners came), it seems the board prefer someone who has English football experience which is probably why most of the people you mentioned didn't make the list.
