The gloss off that was the Nkunku injury (hope it isn't serious) and that red for Cesare ...

11 saves for Jorgensen.  A good job his concentration was on point this evening !

Would have taken 2-0 before the game. Sancho the difference maker in the second half. Two excellent finishes from Nkunku and Mudryk.

Didn't enjoy that one as much as the previous 3 games. Some of the performances were really poor, especially from the midfield and defence. Sancho and Mudryk improved in the 2nd half, but they were really poor in the first too. Take the win, but hopefully we start seeing some consistency in these performance sooner rather than later, because we look so dysfunctional at times.

Casadei played very well tonight. What a dumb arsed thing to do with 20 seconds left. Unbelievable Jeff!!

Summed up our performance overall really. Some really stupid mistakes at times.

Really nice to see Sancho again after some time, he’s such a neat player.

Casadei brain dead moment, he’ll learn from it. Not good for his development though, god knows when we’ll see him again?

Nice goal by Mudryk but he frustrates me so much. How can he do really good moments like that but never actually take things into his hands. I would like to see him dominate the wing and get more involved.

Jorgensen look good, pretty good saves tonight. Hopefully he’ll eventually displace Sanchez.

Disasi is a donkey.

Butch Cassadei was unlucky to be sent off in the last few seconds. But That is the lack of experience that we have with this super young team.

KDH with the miss of the game/season.

Good goalkeeping from Jorgensen.

an away win and a clean sheet - not bad - all things considered.

I thought Veiga was fine in the first half, not so much in the 2nd. Hard to take these things seriously, anybody watching could see that Badiashile was the worst player on the pitch.

Don't disagree regarding Badiashile, but i genuinely can't remember Veiga completing a pass of any form of importance (i.e anything other that an unopposed five yard pass sideways) or any critical piece of defending. I have liked the guy but i would expect him to really pull the strings in that deep lying playmaker role.

Absolute bollox there. They are the things that happen from lazy play.

Take the win, but as someone said earlier not good enough really.

KTBFFH

I counted.. We gave the ball away completely needlessly and under no pressure..

240 times..  Better than usual. 🙂

So Casadei now doesn't have to fly 28 hours return to an ice bowl?

Lucky fella

Nope he still does. He can however sit out in an Irish pub while we play Shamrock at home though.

Really? Our next match is Astana. Why is he not missing that?

Really need Nkunku to put down a marker for himself in his best position.

We need at least a 9 out of 10 for him. Push himself in to Marescas plans.

Make it so we have to move Palmer back to his best position on the right, that teams cannot double mark him and leave Nkunku and Neto free.

A front 3 of Palmer, Nkunku and Neto all on song is one of the best in Europe, with Felix to rotate in.

But we need Nkunku to play a blinder. Guiu will make space for him he just has to use it.

I really like nkunku but I still think he isn't doing enough. The injury might explain it though. Like I posted in a different thread, I have a feeling he's been playing with a "niggle" for a while now.

I know footballers just want to play but I hope these guys are guided and mentored properly. Stupid decisions and stubbornness, especially with injuries, will not help but do the opposite.

Aye you are right, I thought the ECL Fixture were following a H,A,H,A format but it is Astana next not Shamrock.

Should not be risking anyone of any first team use on such a trip.

I'm not even taking maresca if I'm in charge.

Putin is currently in Astana for a CSTO summit - we should bring Boehly and Eghbali along and keep our fingers crossed that history repeats itself.

I hear Kazakhstan is nice this time of year.

I was seriously thinking about travelling to Almaty, it looks like a great place to visit if you like mountains and nature. But I dont have enough leave days for it, plus the prices of the plane tickets and the time to fly there were quite high.
