Well seeing as it's pretty unanimous now after tonight's dogsh*t that Maresca isn't the guy to take us into next season. To be honest I don't want him to even take us into the next match but it is what it is. So who would you personally like to see us go for should Maresca get sacked? I'd personally like to see us go for an experienced manager to work with these young players. I've listed manager that I think could be attainable.

I would probably go with somebody like Iraola. He has done a fantastic job at Bournemouth.

Realistically though, what decent manager would come to the club knowing the restrictions they have to work under? Last couple of times we were rejected by options once they could see how the club operated.

Who were we rejected by this time around? From what I remember our shortlist was a bunch of buffoons from the beginning.

I think the idea of working for 12-18 months and getting paid for 5 years would tempt many.

I dont think it matters who comes in, within their brief they will be required to:

-share the blue co. vision for the future

-work with the SD's and their squad compilation, regardless of how imbalanced it becomes

-and will be sacrificed when the media/supporters/results become so bad that it effects the company value

-they will receive a long contract and may only have to serve a fraction of it.

(I voted for Ancelotti as i believe he might mess them about a little haha)

I'm losing the will to even care about who comes in so I'm going with an imediate sacking and JT caretaker until the end of the season.

Even if he sh*gs the wife/girlfriend of every single squad member he couldn't do a worse job than this guy.

Other - it does not matter who the manager is they cannot succeed until the ownership has gone.

Dummies! You still haven't figured it out that it doesn't matter what we want...

Rinse and repeat! Another traffic cone incoming!

Such a silly thread.

Potter was doing a good job at Brighton, look how that worked out. I really wouldn't want the next shiny thing. I would want someone who has won major trophies.

There is Allegri. The other one would be Zidane, but he wouldn't want the job. Nagelsmann already turned us down. It's crazy to be in this situation again a year later. We need some f**king stability.

I honestly don't think it matters who replaces Maresca with this squad. Prime Jose could he do much better with this lot? He demanded top talent, this is not it. No striker, no keeper and brain dead defenders can't be fixed with extra sessions on the training pitch. Also I wouldn't be so sure that anyone from that list would want to come join this clusterf*ck of a club.

If they want a young squad that can grow together, then they need a coach with some experience, preferably someone who’s been there and done it in terms of winning a trophy. Just not the Championship.

Exactly. These type of polls make sense when you have a sensible functioning structure in place and the only thing missing is a quality manager. Even the best managers around would struggle in the current setup, not to mention they wouldn't even entertain the idea of joing this circus.

Let's face it, we aren't going to attract the best managers out there. I'm going for an Iraola or even Silva ( from Fulham).  The type of managers who play good football with limited resources, and got good game plans. I mean we already got a manager without EPL experience until this season, so how much worse could Iraola do?

Good shout either of those

Iraola or Frank for me. Two managers who seem to be able to get the maximum out of their squad of players.

I'd go for Iraola as I think he is an excellent manager in waiting. I wouldn't want our muppets ruining him though.

Frank could be a practical answer to get us to a platform to build from, but I just couldn't bear to watch him stood on the touch with his gob wide open chomping on his chewing gum, animal. Eating with your gob open for the world to see, urrgh, scum.

zidane inzaghi  xavi
I think experience and personality are still importanto to deliver in a club like this
xavi wouldn't have to turn game style in a very different one but focus on improving possession based of maresca

The owners and SDs are not perfect by any means but they are not the reason we are currently 6th. The squad Enzo has/had is good enough to get top 4, he simply has not managed it well enough.

If you are going to sack him then it needs to be someone with a good track record of developing young players while also challenging for things. We already had the perfect manager for that in Poch, now the only one that’s similar would be Xavi.
