Hello everybody!

I've been a fan of chelsea for a while now but living in scotland means its hard to get to games.

However im finaly planning on coming to stamford bridge!

Thinkng of staying for the weekend can anybody recommend any b&bs or hotels near the ground?

Cheers.

If you are planning to go down quite a long time into the future it is worth checking out the Travelodge website as you can get bargain rooms from them. Last time we had a meet up a few of us stayed at the one just beside Liverpool Street station - not exactly next door to the stadium but doddle to get to by Tube and I think the rooms were only about ?15 or ?20.

there are usually some pretty decent deals kicking about mate, try lastminute.com or some site like that. there's also another page called justlondon.com (maybe the name, I have not used it in a while)

Good luck, I used to travel deon from Mull about once a season, but now I live in the states, christ knows when I'll be bvack next

Cheers mate

C'mon the chelski

Please mate not even in jest.

Up the Chels!!!

Have a blinding trip.

Thank you, Glory55. We must severely punish everyone who uses that derogatory expression.

I wonder if he really is a Chelsea fan. It's like going on a ManU site, and saying that I am a great ManU fan, and then saying I cannot wait to see ManUre play. Just a bit strange to me, and I cannot imagine it was just a slipup. We must keep an EYE on this one!

I wasn't aware that "Chelski" was derogatory. Chelsea have a Russian owner and personally I cant see that this play on words is negative in any way.

When RA first bought CFC, supporters turned up at Stamford Bridge dressed as Russian caricatures with fur hats, leather boots, double breasted

coats, etc. It was all a bit of fun. As far as Im concerned, if I ever use the term "Chelski" it is categorically not derogatory. I don't think you can

honestly compare it with "the Poo" and "Manure"!!!!!

Well to be honest I don't think that the term "Chelski" was such a bad thing in the beginning. Even I thought it was a bit fun. However it has been used too often in a negative way by scousers and other scum of the earth so now it's not as fun, it's more of an insult.

I'm sure there's more words in the english language that have suffered the same fate.

I'm with Moos on this one, as soon as I saw that post I thought I'd ignore the pillock. Then again I'm becoming a right miserable old tosser lately and it doesn't take much for me to ignore most people on this site!

Sorry for my recent attitude to anyone that I've upset. except for those that deserved it!

It is a bit of fun made up by the tabloids, but has been used against us by idiots.

So I soon learned that it was not a good thing.....all the Chelsea I speak to hate the word.

On the Russian hats, even if they were a bit of fun.......I hated them and the Kalinka.

Were Chelsea!

Middle aged Blokes wearing Russian fur hats, leather boots and double breasted coats....whats all that about??

They look like a bunch of mugs wearing all that fancy dress,

If these jokers put half as much effort into getting behind the team as they do putting on fancy dress....

....we would have the best atmosphere in the country.

Instead me and my mates have to make up for the noise these non-supportive 'supporters' dont make......

...and we all suffer with severe sore throats and have done for the last 9 years icon_wink.gif

Anyway Scottish Chelsea hope you have a great trip!

I don't find "chelski" derogatory myself. I find it a bit dumb.

The "-ski" on the end of names is more Polish than anything else. "Chelskov" would sound more Russian. actions1.gif

Cheers,

Butch
