well this one isn't too hard. joe was great in the first half, but im gonna give it to Anelka. Scored a goal and set up another.

Anelka, mainly as an encouragement for his quick adaptation, but he also did great today.

Anelka but very cloe behind him is Makelele who put in another superb performance.

I agree that Anelka had a very good game, but I've gone for Steve Sidwell. He's had a lot of unfair criticism on this site, but today he ran the midfield - nothing spectacular, but a very solid performance.

No doubt a lot of people on here will disagree, but they've already made their minds up that he's no good - I prefer to give credit where it's due.

Joe for me as first half he was excellent, Anelka, Makalele..

Malouda dissapointing again, thought Sinclair would be on for him and then when Paulo came on for him I thought ok it was to keep Sibierski quiet and then he scored

special mention for Sidwell, his best game for us by miles.

Joe Cole motm for me. Anelka and Maka also played well. Malouda was poor yet again, muscled off the ball too easily.

I don't know but I kinda like the "Butterfly". It looks pretty cool when you try it but thats just me.

And oh, Anelka was MOTM for me. Well taken goal, good awareness to slip in the ball to SWP and good all round performance.

Malouda was pooh indeed. I don't think he completed more than 3 passes the whole game.

I went for Belletti. He was again very good going forward amd pretty solid defensively, although he should have tried to stop Sibierski from shooting.

If it was a man of the first half then I'd have given it to Joe, but he disappeared after half time.

Good solid win. More of the same on wednesday will do me!
