only a major surprise cos he's been off form the last few weeks, but he was our best creative attacking player all season, has played more games than anyone else and played as big a part as any in our success...plus fact he is a crowd favourite it's understandable he's got the vote...riccy deserved it too, but I think the players knew joe got the vote from the fans cos they made sure he got their vote for players' player

Really happy for Joe, but it is a crying shame in my opinion that Riccy didn't get it. I don't think anybody came close to him this season for Player of the Year. Popularity contest, but at least he got recognized in some capacity. Shockingly underrated.

like I said, a few weeks ago no-one would have complained...I love riccy too, but he had his dodgy form too but it was a few months ago against barnsley and the two games v spurs etc...joe has had his now, but no losers really...we're all chelsea and the ceremony really showed the team spirit is alive and well and the excitement over moscow came across

more than the league

Very happy for Joey, and for me it is a very close call between Joey and Percy. Both have performed very well all season long, so it is tough to call for me

Yeah well joey i thought riccy would of getting it of the fans but im happy for joey lets hope he adds another 2 awards before the end of the season. fair play to frankie lampard to unreal amount of goals from midfield

Chelsea have not lost in the league with Ricci / JT partnership since Spurs away last season.

They were both rewarded so fair do's.
