Somebody mentioned to me that if you place a £40 bet on Chelsea to win the Premier League then you get a free home shirt.

Does anybody know where to go to do this?

Thanks

If anyone else decides to take advantage of this offer then make sure your account is registered in £ :D

For the record the odds are 7/4 so you stand to get £110 back if they win

I cannot really see how they make out of this, though it must be worth their while. Maybe they think there is no chance of us winning it.

Perhaps they are banking on some people not collecting their winnings?

They won't be paying £40 to Chelsea for each shirt, that's for sure

They make their money from repeat bets rather than the initial one - the hope is you sign up to them to get your shirt and you don't walk away after one bet. You go back and usse them again as you can't be bothered setting up multiple accounts with many other online bookies. Then what they hope is that if you win it and have the £110 in your account (plus your £40 back) you decided not to withdraw it but use it for future bets.

A lot of bookies offer some sort of incentive for signing up; it's nothing to do with people not collecting their winnings (do you know anyone who'd do that!?) but more to do with the fact they're hoping people will lose their bet, or place other bets in the future.

Shame it's only available to new customers :(

Just to clarify, the £110 winning includes your £40 back

Not a bad idea that, cheers :(

Just to clarify though, where exactly is the free shirt link? Can't see it on the PaddyPower homepage at all :(
