How does it compare to MPlayer?

You know what, I've never used or even heard of MPlayer, so I can't possibly compare the two. Makes my claim of VLC being the best look a bit weak doesn't it. :rules2:

Thanks Sweet Waffle. I'll definitely download that.

VLC player is definitely the best. Plays pretty much anything, including incomplete files.

used it for years, and will continue to. by far the best media player out there.

I've heard about VLC but I've been under the impression that MPlayer is just as good. I'd love to hear from someone who has used both(recent versions). Or maybe I'll just download VLC and find out for myself.

FYI There's been another update to VLC, now on version 0.9.3.

No update for Windows yet. Just decided to download it and see how it compares to MPlayer.

I been using it for a couple of weeks, can't see any real imporvement compares to the previous version, which was very stable and user friendly. I watched a few movies, sound and picture went out of sync on a number of occasions. It's still by far the best viwer out there, but I will go back to the previous version soon.
