€40m deal with Marseille according L'equipe.

He's having his medical tomorrow apparently and will sign on a five year deal.

Hopefully he turns out as well as the last striker we signed from Marseille.

Just googled him, and The Guardian is saying Palace have signed him, and the Mail and Independent saying Spuds have signed him, with Sky saying West Ham are closing in on him.

Anyway, if true, interesting we're signing a young Belgian striker for almost the same amount as we sold our own, more prolific, young Belgian striker.

Progress eh?

Also, would a big money striker coming in suggest that we're going to play a 3-5-2?

Just a side note here.

Pretty sure he's left footed, however, in his highlight videos he takes penalties with his right foot. If this is in fact true, at least he could bring some versatility to the front line.

 
Have to admit,i wasnt wanting to sign morata for 60m+ but almost the same age at batshuayi, i definately would have prefered morata,

Looks good player fit in well and hopefully have good connection with Hazard already so hopefully do well for us

 
Apparently Marseille have an upcoming transfer embargo starting July 5th so any deal would need to be completed soon.

Looks like it just might happen
