Curiously I have fond memories of the FA Cup tie against Man United in 1998.
Probably a strange one to highlight, seeing as we lost 3-5 at home, and were actually 0-5 down after 74 minutes. At that point it was probably the most painful football experience of my life, magnified by watching the game with some good friends who were all Man United fans, but whose incessant gloating and carping at that point was enough to spark a mass shooting incident
And then Graeme Le Saux scored. And then substitute Vialli made it 2-5, and then Vialli again 3-5, and at that point all colour had drained out of the United fans, and we were in full flow, flying, sublime, and completely destroying them to the extent that even with only 2 minutes left on the 90, there was genuine fear from those United fans that we would level the tie, and maybe even win it LOL.
We didn't of course, and the roller coaster ride ended in glorious failure.

The sort of game that epitomises the ebbs and flows of being a Chelsea fan
Another favourite memory from way back, also in the FA Cup, was our 4-2 win against Liverpool in 1978 when we were very much the under dogs, and when I was 11 years old. Clive Walker probably had the game of his life, scoring twice and earning himself a poster spot on my bedroom wall !
