Or maybe, just maybe, Werner is in an offensive set that believes in him, let's him play consistently with support, a set attacking front who know their jobs week in and out, and attacking midfielders who can push the ball quickly and pass. Maybe, just maybe, their offensive set isn't relying on wingbacks crossing the ball to players who aren't good in the air, defensive midfielders who cannot penetrate, push the ball upfield quickly or pass. Maybe, just maybe, Werner knows exactly what position he will be playing on weekly basis, is given clear expectations, and isn't threatened on being benched for a bad game. Just sayin'What about Havertz who missed 3 golden opportunities today against Southampton. Does one champions league final goal equate to 2 years of sh*t play with no criticism?
Werner scored 3 goals today, so obviously the Bundesliga is a sh*t league & players that succeed there cannot succeed on the premiership or perhaps just perhaps our manager doesn't have any tactical understanding & hesitates to make changes when necessary
You really believe that? Really? Tell me you know nothing about football without telling me you know nothing about football.Or maybe, just maybe, the Bundesliga is MLS level now.
I'd agree, remember this sudden pace and curling pass, amazing stuff!Kezman (not so sure about that one)..
The finish from Eidur too
That whole team would walk in to TT starting line up right now.The finish from Eidur tooNow there's a guy who would walk into TT's team. Almost the perfect skillet for what we need in a striker right now.
Happy to see Werner got a hattrick but worth noting that it was against the Bundesliga equivalent of a 4th division team.As an American my sense of the American fan base is that if Boehly thinks he is building Chelsea fans by holding on to Pulisic, he is mistaken. The Athletic reports (contrary to posts on this thread) that Boehly blocked loan deals with more than one other club, which may be part of why CP is pouting. Regardless of why, clearly CP is floundering at Chelsea and was abysmal today. So hanging on to him isn’t really going to sell jerseys. OTOH I can see the economic logic of waiting until after the WC to loan or unload him, because he seems to always play well with the national team.
Did you see Werner had a hat trick today? Maybe there is something to the notion that TT doesn’t know how to use attackers?
Fair point. Paulo might struggle over Reece and can you imagine T Silva and JT together in a backline! I love Lord Percy but Silva is something else. That whole team would walk in to TT starting line up right now.
His team won 8 nil in a cup game against a division 3 team not a bundesliga matchAs an American my sense of the American fan base is that if Boehly thinks he is building Chelsea fans by holding on to Pulisic, he is mistaken. Regardless of the fact that I disagree with a lot of your sentiment Tim, this is actually a valid point in this instance. My issue is that even being on the pitch anywhere he just doesn't looked physically equipped to cope in the Premier league. I think he would do well in Italy, weaving and dribbling around the walking mannequins but I think he has been found out here.Please. I have defended CP from day 1 on here. But it is painfully obvious the fans, the head coach, and the owner do not share any respect or best wishes for CP. To block a loan for a player who WANTS TO LEAVE, make that public, not start the dude at LW but play a player who also wants out in his place, then play him in what is a horrible position for him at RWB for the last 25 minutes when the opposition is bunkered in, is about as bullsh*t as it gets. Sorry. That would NEVER happen to Mason Mount. Never. And he is playing just as bad as CP, with much more time on the pitch, in a starting role.
You should join the Eagles forum on matchdaysI am a big boy. I can take the criticism. Mod has always been cool with me. Always. What I find laughable is how poorly some self-proclaimed Chelsea fans treat their own players. I have NEVER seen a fan base turn quicker on its own. In any sport (and we have a ton of more sports teams and leagues here in the States).
Boom, another one. On a roll here. Fully agree with this.Or maybe, just maybe, Werner is in an offensive set that believes in him, let's him play consistently with support, a set attacking front who know their jobs week in and out, and attacking midfielders who can push the ball quickly and pass. It's improving.....isn't it. Friends keep asking me to go with them to TFC games................er No I can watch a EFL game on TV for nothing.Or maybe, just maybe, the Bundesliga is MLS level now.
It's like we made a list of all our forwards ranked top to bottom, and then started at the wrong end of it when it came to sales and loans ...I don't understand why we let Werner and CHO go and keep playing Pulisic. When we are chasing it's like the last nail in our coffin when he is brought on.
